    Due to the fact that my 2 Russian version of the guide deleted because of BG3 Mini Tool (WITHOUT POSSIBILITY TO RESTORE TEXT AND PICTURES), I recommend that you no longer use this program, I will write my analog which will work normally and replace even the Name Author in the meta file

    Я не понимаю как называть файл с переводом. Если он имеет название russian.loca, то пропадает весь перевод в игре. Если оставить xml, то ничего не меняется

    Hello, following ur steps i created polish translation for Mystic Class, but after i enable it in the built-in bg3mm, nothings change, it's still in english...what did i do wrong?

    how about  __MT_GEN_LOCA? nowadays lots of mods only have this kind of things in their localization folders, so should it be treated differently?

      It's okay, if there's ONLY __MT_GEN_LOCA, then you only need to translate it.
      If there is a __MT_GEN_LOCO that weighs very little and a larger file, then you need to translate a larger one, and __MT_GEN_LOCO is a file without lines with text.

      Sorry to bother you again with the same question. I wonder what should I do with UUID after "__MT_GEN_LOCA"?

      I see many localized loca have different UUID name compared with the orginal one, like in English file it is "__MT_GEN_LOCA_2dff94c5-1969-47f5-94f6-c8fc22949d7e.loca", but in other localized file it may be "__MT_GEN_LOCA_59d66936-868a-48eb-b5e5-00d2117a6f21.loca".

      So I'm quite puzzled about that... I'm not sure if I want to translate a mod, should I use the same name as the one in English file (that is, "__MT_GEN_LOCA_2dff94c5-1969-47f5-94f6-c8fc22949d7e.loca"), or should I generate a different name with different UUID (like "__MT_GEN_LOCA_59d66936-868a-48eb-b5e5-00d2117a6f21.loca")?

      or its xml youlanguage.loca.xml

    when I try to extract a mod with multiple tools it gives me an error that says
    " unpacking "modname No valid signature found in package file

      for some reason now all the modules are .zip I converted to .Pak but it always gives me that error

      • What step of the instructions are you on?
      • Are you sure you're doing everything correctly?
      • If you downloaded the mod in a zip archive, you first need to unpack it using the 7z archiver, then find the pak file and drag it into the unpacking program window.

    Hi ! I'm currently trying to translate a mod but I have an issue with the translator from BG3 Tools:

    Every time I change a line an error occurs: "Error save json - Unable to find part of path 'C:\Users\user\translate_folder\Debug\temp\json\etc..' and i don't know what to do about this and if it matters since the changes I made are saved when i save the file

      Well, it just changed the path to 'D:\translate_folder\Debug\temp\json\etc..' but otherwise the error still the same

    I bought this program. It's not very useful, and you have to pay more to get DeepL. Most translators need to be configured manually. Maybe someone has an alternative.

      If you're referring to Translator++, it's distributed for free. However, if you need plugins to work with DeepL/ChatGPT/Gemini, then yes, you need to subscribe to the developer's Patreon and purchase the plugin you need for a certain amount of points.
      For example, I use Translator++ purely as a convenient editor. From there, I copy text into WinMerge and back, for instance. I do the translations on https://big-agi.com/ using Gemini Pro, followed by editing and pasting it back into Translator++.
