Would you mind sharing how to converted to .wem correctly or refer to a link? I've a simple "background tavern" version of the Elfsong I put together based off the midi and am essentially trying to do the same thing.

Cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the file to work :D
If not no worries, just attempting to do something similar for personal use.

holy s#*! dude. *wow*. for context here, I'm a singer. I was classically trained and I do medieval reenactment - all of this is mentioned to say, I'm a ridiculous nerd about music. Your voice is wonderful, and the sheer specific commitment to replacing this *one thing* is exactly in line with my own levels of insufferable nerd πŸ˜… Seriously, I love this, this warms my silly gay nerd heart.

πŸ₯Ί Oh my goodness, thank you so much!!!!! I'm so sorry for the (very) late reply, but I did still want to reach out and say thank youβ€”it really means so much to me to know people like my singing, and I'm so happy to know it's appreciated by a fellow music nerd πŸ’—πŸŽΆπŸŒΌπŸŒ·πŸŒŸ!!!!!

Unfortunately I can't seem to get the replacements to actually work in a .pak file, no matter what I try 😭 BG3 mod manager was even registering them as overrides, it just wouldn't actually replace them! If you know of any way to get that working, let me know and I'll put that together for you, but at the moment the mod will have to be loose files only :((

Hello.  I originally installed Option A.  Really nice work, beautiful singing--but I have an issue with this mod that I do not know how to resolve.  The Ghost of the Tavern cover, while gorgeous, is just incredibly loud compared with the rest of the game's audio.  I have to keep my volume quite high because of BG3's terrible sound quality, but when this song plays, I must turn the volume down considerably, and then cannot hear my party's voices because the song completely dominates.

Your cover is an excellent replacement for the vanilla inn room song; I just cannot deal with the volume, so have to use a different version of the mod for now.  Thank you for your hard work.  I thought it necessary to speak up, but I truly value and appreciate what you did here. πŸ˜“

Oh gosh I'm so sorry about that 😭 I, don't remember having an issue with that, but maybe my audio driver handles sound differently? I actually just remembered I had to install an earlier version of my audio driver a couple months ago, because an update to the Realtek audio driver for Windows 10 seems to have removed its ability to process Dolby Atmos sound. BG3 relies on Dolby Atmos sound, and so if your current audio driver isn't capable of processing it, that does actually impact sound quality quite a bit! I actually am wondering if your issues with BG3's sound quality may be due to that??? Because it certainly killed the audio quality for me, until I found and installed a previous version of the driver. That might be something to look into, and I can help you troubleshoot if need be!! I'm going to look more into the song on my end, though. It was made with stereo audio tracks, and so maybe it's not meshing well with the Dolby Atmos sound mix?? Hm. I'll keep you posted!

Edit: oh also, thank you so much for liking my singing ;u;!!!!!! That makes me really happy to hear... I hope I can get some answers about the mod itself for you soon!!

Ok so update, while I did match the volume levels of my cover to the original song, I don't think I properly converted the .wem for the game πŸ˜… Thank you for letting me know, and I'll let you know if I'm able to fix it!!

BG3's audio issues are well-documented and have been experienced by many players, as shown here.  Searching Reddit and other sources will show even more posts about it.  I do not know much about computers, but my rig is new and all other audio is perfect; just BG3 is unbearably quiet.  Much like the OP in the link I made here, I've done everything within my power, but it is just an issue with the game since it came from early access.  Larian may have reduced the audio quality to shrink the game's size.

Regardless, thank you for the swift and thorough reply.  I honestly was not expecting that, and you certainly do not owe it to anyone. πŸ˜Š

Oh goodness 😭 Ok so, low volume and compression were not actually the issues I was dealing with (the game actually sounded hollowed out, like it was coming from a tin can with the broken driver dfjdswka But only BG3 was affected, actually, because of the issues with Dolby Atmos compatibility.) I have noticed the game is much quieter than other things, I just wasn't sure if that's what you were referring to. But I actually realized what the issue with the mod was! And why I haven't noticed it or had as many issues with it. The version I use for my own game is version B, which replaces the second song in the Elfsong camp music playlist with my cover. This song actually seems to be programmed with different volume levels, and is noticeably quieter in the game itself than the first song in the playlist, even when using the exact same file for both. (I'm guessing this is to compensate for the audio levels of the second version of the song actually being louder than the first in the vanilla game.) I recorded the music ingame to confirm this, too, which I hadn't thought of when originally testing the mod.

I've now lowered the volume levels for my files to try and compensate. Hopefully that helps! If you're still having issues with the volume let me know, but you can also try version B and see if that helps as well.

(Also I do know I don't really owe responses to people 😊!!! But I do like to help people and I thought I might let you know the solution for my own audio issues if we were having the same ones! Seems like we weren't, though πŸ˜… Anyway, thank you for letting me know about the issues you were having with the mod, and take care!! 🎢)

Hi! So I just wanted to gush about how beautiful your voice is and what a gorgeous, gorgeous job you did on the song. I'm a singer too and I was just spellbound. You are seriously so talented! And that song sounds so sad too...I absolutely loved it and thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!

Ohhhhh my gosh πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί I saw this when you initially commented it but right after I did I ended up having just, ridiculous issues with my computer and the power in my room (that still aren't totally resolved 😭), and didn't have a chance to respond until now. But I've been thinking about this and it's made me so incredibly happy all weekβ€”thank you so so much!!!! 🌟🌈🎢 I was a bit nervous posting it, and all your kind words about it really mean so much to me ;u; Thank you again, and take care!!!! πŸ€πŸŒΌπŸŽΆ

Does this mean I can also manually delete Data\Public\Shared\Assets\Sound\52778681.wem and
    Data\Public\Shared\Assets\Sound\946960729.wem ?

I hate this song with a passion, i don't even need a replacement song. I just want this corny song gone

those files won't be available unless you extract them; almost all files in the game are merged into PAK files, and nothing can be deleted individually without deleting the entire PAK file it's a part of. mods with loose files are set up to override the files in those PAK files, but you won't find those files in your game folder on their own (and in most cases, i wouldn't recommend deleting game files in general, for anything 😭) if you'd like to replace the song with silence, you can overwrite those files from my mod with a .wem file that's just silent. Tendirty has a guide to .wem files here.
