It reduces the weight only when you approach to pick up a dead body. After that body is sent to camp and you try to put it in your inventory its at the full weight again. I hoped it could automatically send bodies to camp after opening them up, not really. Also was looking for a solution on some bodies, which dont have a pick-up option at all. Seems that cant be done. Looks like i am still stuck with the good old submod and using a coffin in containers extended.
great mod to pair up with the summon tutorial chest mod to remove corpses from the world, tho there a bit of hicup with the corpses from enemy cloning mod if you try to manually pick up the clone bodies of size orge for example the aura that reduce the weight doesnt seem to work, turn on the config of auto send near by corpses to chest work tho.
The mod works great and sends bodies directly to camp storage upon manual pickup. Thank you! Just wondering how one might access the 'config options' mentioned on the files tab? More specifically the ability to automatically grab corpses.

FWIW, Patch 7 made Mod Fixer problematic. The forced recompile doesn't play nice in the sandbox with Larian's new in-game mod mgr, toolkit & mod.io, causing the game's modsettings.lsx to reset & get overwritten. See: Patch 7 Troubleshooting | BG3 Modding Community Wiki
My corpse collection is ammo for Animate Undead spells spammed by my Undead Necro Sorc x Dread Overlord Warlock, so camp ain't where I want 'em... but cool anyway.
"Cheating? What is this Cheating thing you speak of?"
demanded the zealously over-multiclassed Bae'queshel Bard x Sword Dancer Cleric x Ghost Fighter x Blackguard x Bleak Walker Paladin x Drake Warden Ranger x Phantom Rogue x Wretched Bloodline Sorcerer x Dread Overlord Warlock x Mystic.
How difficult would it be to prioritize sending bodies to a "ribcage" container instead of a "backpack"? Or even "cartilaginous chest"? ...Or, hell, make a new container that's a coffin or sarcophagus or something?
Damn, why didn't I think of a ribcage or skeleton... I specifically avoided making a new kind of container, though, as it would make the mod harder to uninstall (if that was needed for any reason).
I might add a config setting for the kind of container though.
Actually yeah, making a pokéball would make my idea even easier. A spell that turns an NPC into an item (pokéball) Cantrip to turn them into an item if they're petrified/gold

btw any hope for a "Send barrels to camp" version?
