Hi, its kinda not related to the mod but idk where else ask for help, is it posible to change the save files directory? I dont have much space in C drive so i just wanted to change it to one i do have space
The save files for this game aren't large, even in the seemingly prodigious volume that the game produces. I just checked my save directory and it clocks in at 250 megabytes of data, which is a quarter of a single gigabyte. Given that most hard drives are 500 gigabytes in size at least and often much larger, that means that likely if you had say, 1000 megabytes of save files, which is a single gigabyte, that is only 0.2 percent of the total space on the drive that you are saving by moving it elsewhere. That's a lot of work, for very little value. If your drive is so full that recovering 0.2 of it's volume is important, you have way bigger issues than a few save files in an inconvenient place.
It is possible to 'trick' your computer into thinking that the files exist in that location still, while storing them elsewhere, using a special type of system alias routing called 'symbolic linking', but given that you already don't seem to understand the fairly basic principles of drive space and proportional file sizes, I don't think there's an easy way to guide you as to how to do this, and again, it would be of little value anyway, due to the rather small effect it would have on your problem, given the way you want to leverage it.
An easier, more effective temporary solution would be to use a cleaner app like CCleaner to clear out automatically generated tempory files that the system tends to be pretty slow about dealing with. I just ran the portable version of CCleaner on my system with just the default windows system options selected and it is able to clear 3.2 gig of data, which is way more free space and with way less trouble, but again, even with this, if your drive is so full that this is a critical issue for you, you need a better long term solution, which would be to find out what's actually taking up so much of your drive space and seeing about moving that instead of a few tiny save files or some system temp trash.
If you are holding your music / pictures / videos in the system default directories, those are typically much more data space demanding, and learning how to redirect system directories to alternate drive paths and shifting your collections off the c: drive will likely have a much more profound and permanent effect than a few save files, but even so, there's still no one click solution that isn't going to require you to actually learn some fundamental concepts and entail some risk of losing important data if you do things wrong.
A portable program called SpaceSniffer provides a good way for you to visually see how much space on the drive is taken up proportionally by what, representing files and directories as actual size ratioed geometric rectangles. The larger visually something is, the more space it is occupying. This makes it easier for you to track down potential problems to apply more effective and sustainable solutions, meanign that if you are going to have to do a bit of work to sort things out, at least it won't be wasted by not understanding where your actual problem begins.
Both CCleaner Portable and SpaceSniffer Portable can safely be downloaded from majorgeeks.com, if you are worried about downloading from places you aren't sure about. Portable means that the program doesn't have to installed first, just unpack and run the main executable file.
Thanks for take time to reply, the problem actually begins when me from the past thought it was a good idea to make a partition to the main drive and only left 50gb on C drive like "this would be enough for windows updates"... now im dealing with only 5gb of free space left and dont want to delete all things i have in another partition to be able to merge them together again.
Do you have any idea why your character's horns didn't lose their colour after making her? Me (and many, many others) had our Tiefling's horns lose the colours we picked once leaving the character creator and instead become white. Been trying to find some possible solution but no dice so far.
I don't know if I've ever commented on a nexus mod before but this is awesome!! I love the 1 For All crew so much, they'd be PERFECT characters to play as! Are you planning on making Evandra and Antrius?
