Hi! Thank you for the mod! been looking for it for a while! I was wondering if its too much problem to implement the last lvl features a bit early, for those of us who dont want to install the lvl 20 mod, because tbh the samurai starts getting good later on haha, thanks in advance. Absolutely no worries if its not possible, I dont know much about modding, so im just curious :)
like a 12 level only version of the mod? Thats not necessary - just use the mod file I have uploaded and it will stop at level 12 if you dont have unlocklevelcurve loaded. no issues
If I weren’t supporting the ULC progression, I wouldn’t condense all the abilities into 12 levels I don’t think it’s balanced to have a 12th level character with an 18th level ability. Most I would do is consider moving rapid strike to 12, but I’d have to think about it. You can (relatively easily) unpack the mod and change the progressions, then repack it if you wanted to.
If I use the updated version of this mod and place it below your combined subclasses mod found on mod.io, will it create 2 samurai subclasses or will the one lower on the load order overwrite?
Understood, thanks for the amazing work you do on classes!
I'm sure it's been asked already, but how do you plan to move forward when it comes to the classes you've modded in that are going to be added in by Larian?
In a bit of a waiting pattern to see what happens with Compatibility Framework in terms of modio/p7 updates - currently it is the only way to get multiple custom subclasses when multiclassing...
I installed BaldursGoonsacks Difficulty, Immersion, Quality collection and none of the Fighter, Monk, Barbarian Subclasses show up in Game. I did the troubleshoot with the compatibility framework but still not showing. The rest of the collection works fine. Any idea why?
Generally speaking, if the last subclass mod shows up but the others don’t, it’s a cf/cl issue… if none of them show up, something is probably overwriting the base class
I know that they are trying to implement 5e faithful version but BG3 is not meant for level 20, and if using Unlock level curve to get to 20 the class will be unbalance with the extra feats and health bonus. Won't it be better to put a second version of these type of mods to unlock last ability at lv 11/12 instead of level 15?
No because that would be incredibly unbalanced to squeeze a 15th level ability into a 12 level cap - it would cause the same issue people playing with things like unlock level curve and going past 12th level are also generally using other mods to scale combat and enemies too
Banner and samurai cause bug when choosing a subclass for a fighter (when the fighter is a second class). After removing them, everything started working normally
uninstall what you have for those download the latest version and install it again I just checked the files on nexus and they dont have the bug in them
This is me multiclassing Barbarian / Fighter with custom subclasses for both. It is not bugged. You also need to make sure you are not using a subclass mod that implements Larian's patch 7 progression merging - it is buged for multiclassing Until they fix that, you need to use subclass mods that leverage CF & CL for progression merging
Sorry for the dumb question, but what do you mean exactly by larian's patch 7 progression merging? I have followed all your steps including your article and am having this same issue, assuming this progression merging is the issue. Nonetheless, love the work you are doing! These mods are great! (also, i am not trying to multiclass) Thank you!
