Seems to be partially working in Patch 8 (installed with BG3MM). Using the double ki points file, I had 4 ki points as expected at 1st level. However, when leveling up to 2nd level, I had 5 ki points instead of 6.
Hey, just thought I'd add a comment here since I didn't see anything similar. I tried this mod out and it worked until the first time I tried levelling up and then it consistently crashed whenever I tried levelling up. I was trying to go from level 3 monk to level 4 monk, and there's a lot of reasons it could have been crashing. I installed mid playthrough, I was multiclassing, and I have subclass mods for monk. I install all my mods via BG3 Mod Manager not vortex, so that vortex fixer wouldn't have helped. I did confirm that I could level up my other party members, just not my monk, and the crashes stopped after uninstalling this mod and attempting to level up. There must have been some conflict between this mod and my subclass mod or perhaps it just didn't like the mid-game installation. Figured I'd put this here to let others know. 'Tis a shame because I really would have liked double ki points, but I'll survive without just fine. Thanks for the mod though :D
Not sure which 'Mod Manager' your description means, but Vortex replaced my Nexus Mod Manager years ago. I enabled both Ki and Spell Point mods while in Main Menu using Vortex. At first, it didn't seem to work after a save reload, but it did after the following:
I quit the Steam BG3 application, reinstalled Mods using Vortex, and the Mods seemed to work (for doubling)
On loading, I received some error messages and a note that Achievements would be disabled, but after accepting, the relevant spells and Ki points were shown increased (from 5 Ki to 11 for a Level 5 Monk).
I would suggest that if using Vortex Mod Manager, ensure BG3 isn't running at all until after installation.

Is there a replacement?
If you play class mods like a healer monk, then the AI points are simply nothing that the game provides.
