Viconia's default is 'old elf body' (same as Jaheira's). I added a version with a younger body...(like Shadowheart's). There could be a neck seam (or other weird issue). At the moment I cannot test it. If there are any bugs, let me know.
Yay, no more pruple skin. Now Viconia looks like an actual drow....not the result of....what happens if a drow Tav or Drow DU and the Emperor make a baby. :D
Thank you! That's now my forever mod for Viconia, she doesn't look so unfairly old and worn out as the original one. Even though the head is the same. I wonder, how will it play with Younger Viconia from younger NPC mod, that changes her face texture. Well, i'll find out soon enough!
@Divaroma THANK YOU !!! Finally someone who wasn't lazy to do the math and realized that Vocinia is not yet old enough to look THAT old. Although you could have given her a slightly less masculine jaw. :-)
Mod has been hidden for two months... If the author does not want to continue to support it, I am sure that there will be others who will be interested. Adding a beard to this character can't be THAT hard.
having her be the shar leader , is a diservice to her character .. in most BG2 ToB endings , Viconia left Shar's whorship. in one ending she even went neutral good , in another ending she went full evil starting a cult around the bhaal spawn you played as.
Nah, he has a point. We don't know how old Viconia was in the games prior. So, unless she's closing in on 700, she should technically appear more youthful.
For context, elves in 5th edition have an average lifespan of 750 years. Around 100 years have passed since the events of Baldur's Gate 2.
Minthara tells you that she fled her home in Menzo around two centuries ago, sometime before 1297 DR, which you intercept her after that in BG1 within 1368 DR. We never get a specific time frame for when she was born, as opposed to her "many years as a Lolth-acolyte", but her personality in BG1 suggests she was still very young when her brother stood up for her not wanting to sacrifice a baby (She uses the term Age and a Half for how long she was a Lolth follower, but I doubt she spent 1500 years under her, so she's probably just being poetic or overdramatic), and was drider-turned; she shouldn't be much older than 225-275 years old in BG3, taking place in 1492 DR. Compare that to an average Drow lifespan of 750 to a human one of the 1400s, around 30-40, and you get a jarring result. If we place her as an average being compared to a 40 year old human to 750 Drow, and her at 250 years old in BG3, then she's the youthful equivalent of a 13-14 year old human in BG3, giving them immense room to keep her young for a great many years to come, though they didn't do that.
@HTankfireS Thanks for that bit of clarification concerning Viconia's age. Considering that, Viconia should appear closer to Shadowheart in age—than say—Jaheira.
I love when people who literally know nothing at all about DnD lore comment about things like "man discovers that women get older with time" when people bring up this issue with Viconia. Maybe you could discover that google exists and look up the average age of Drow in DnD, how aging among elves works and how old Viconia likely to be, but you didn't bother with any of that. Viconia should be young and hot looking like she was in BG1/2. Now whether it being so inaccurate is due to Larian doing a lack of research or standard wokeism in modern gaming I have no idea. I lean towards lack of proper research considering Larian does make most characters hot and Viconia was butchered in general as a character in this game.
well if you played BG 1 and BG 2, viconia herself tells you she was the youngest daughter of her house and if your read drizzt books you'd know that viconia's house was attacked and destroyed by Do'Urden the night that drizzt was born on , because they "lost favor with lolth" some how (the books never said how). so Do'urden took the oportunity to rid themselves of the rival house (house Devir) . now if you know drow lore good, you know drow enter the menzo academy at the age of 30. males into either the fighter school or the mage school and females into the cleric school. male fighters train for 20 years, before graduating , male wizards 40 years ,and female clerics 30 years. so that means viconia was likely 60-70 years old when drizzt was born. bg 1 taking place in 1368 you also run into drizzt in the game and in bg 2, he's in his 60's at that point. so this means viconia was around 120-130 years old when you run into her in BG1 so add 100 years on and yeah viconia was around 220-230 years old in BG3, give or take a few years . In elf/drow terms that's just hitting adult age. and elves/drow do not show signs of aging till they 700+ years old and ready to die. so yeah Viconia shouldn't look a day over 18 (by human appearance terms).
It is possible to replace Viconia's head with a modded one. I am open to requests if you have permission from the original mod author (proof needed).
Will it be provided as an alternative download? (as opposed to replacing what's currently available.) I wouldn't say no to a younger looking Viconia, but I do still like this version, it also wouldn't hurt to have options.

Good job, thank you. :)

Say, could you also restore Cazador's original appearance?
He looked much more scary and dignified with a beard.
