Bro, will you continue working on this fantastic mod? I need a little Greek culture in Baldurs Gate 3, now that you have the tool to create mod!! Greetings from Argentina
I am currently working adding my custom helmet. I dont know if I'm legally allowed to upload Pantheon's Aegis shield, but I will model a historically accurate hoplite shield soon. Enjoy Spartan!
That would be awesome, I was wondering about that helmet and shield in the screenshots. I will be anxiously waiting. Come back with your shield....or on it, lol.
Not complicated whatsoever. I encourage you to follow this tutorial, https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/50?tab=description Also I am uploading a sleek design right now. Texturing and coloring is incredibly difficult since I don't know how to access Virtual textures from the game folder yet.
Try using BG3 Coverter app (LSLib): https://github.com/Norbyte/lslib Then unpack the mod into an empty folder. You will now be able to see exactly what the original mod creator has. Open "Public" folder.
I am having issues coding in anything spear related. I would highly encourage someone to add this, I won't need to be credited. Trust me, I've spent the past 7 days nonstop trying to make my own mods. Consider replacers as a last resort.
You need to unpack virtual textures from the game's pak files with BG3 Converter app. Use Index Search in BG3 multi tool to find a texture DDS Gtex string. Open the DDS with a photo editor like photoshop or GIMP. Then change the bump map. If these instructions sound difficult, that's because it is. I want the spear to be a nice bronze but I don't have the skills to change it.

Was wanting to take an existing mod and shorten the blades and add a color.
Any chance you would know how to steer me in the right direction? I have most of the stuff needed downloaded to my PC already.
If too complicated, I understand.
TY

Never done this stuff before but I have several cool ideas I think the community would love for future play throughs.
Thanks!
I used Blender to shorten the blade with the scale tool. Not sure if this is how you would shorten a blade but it seemed solid in Blender.
When I went to export in Step 14, I get this error message talking about tangents and mesh and geometry.
And that is where I am stalled....
