If you download the optional KCE_Stats file and read this article I made for a previous equipment mod, you can put it in any equipment slot you want! (Although the ring and amulet slots don't show visuals) I've added examples of making duplicates of the item for the "Cloak" and "Underwear" slots to the file since I figure most people would want it in one of those, so if you want that there there's no need to edit the file.
If installed correctly, the stats file (where you change the slot, buffs, etc.) should be in the following file path: steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3/Data/Public/KAYClericalEyeglasses/Stats/Generated/Data/KAYClericalEyeglasses_Armor_MSK.txt The treasure table should be one layer up (so it's in the Generated folder, not Data). Remember to edit the treasure table if you add or remove any copies of the item.
You can also use the stats file to add/remove any spells/passives/etc.
Can you have x vendor sell it?

If you download the optional KCE_Stats file, you can add it to whatever treasure table (aka the list of things that an npc or loot container can have) you want! I suggest either looking at Majakale's Treasure Table spreadsheet or going to bg3.wiki & looking up the vendor you want to add it to.
For example, Arron's treasure table is DEN_Entrance_Trade, so in the TreasureTable.txt you would add the following: new treasuretable "DEN_Entrance_Trade" CanMerge 1 new subtable "-1" object category "I_KAY_CLERICAL_EYEGLASSES_MSK",1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
Can you make this a piercing?

Short answer: No.
Long Answer: I made this an equippable item so that it could be dyed (and also because the character I made it for is a Changeling, and not only are piercings not enabled for Trips' Changelings, but as far as I know you can't add piercings to a Disguise Self form). However, if another modder wants to turn it into a piercing then as long as they follow the creative license the original model was posted under then I'm fine with that. You can even DM me (or ping me in the Down By The River discord server) and I can send you my edited blender file for it to make things a little easier. I would also prefer that you link back to this mod.
Maybe I'm just stupid but for the life of me, I can't seem to get this to show up in my game. Followed the steps showed but it just not spawn in the chest ( I am in act three now). So can someone help me out, I'm new to modding and don't always now what to do with manual downloads.
I'm glad that you like my mod. It hadn't crossed my mind to provide the IDs/commands since no one had asked, but I have added them to the description page now.

To debug Arron I had to do this in case other have problem
Make the poor Arron an Playable char using Osi.MakePlayer("S_DEN_ServantPlight_005_13db744d-8a48-4131-8801-fd5fc289fdf6")
Switch to him and remove all items
Make the poor Arron a NPC using Osi.MakeNPC("S_DEN_ServantPlight_005_13db744d-8a48-4131-8801-fd5fc289fdf6")
If/when I feel inclined to add more glasses then I will.
This mod only adds the glasses to the Tutorial Chest, and during my tests today I have had no problem with Arron being bugged, so I doubt that the problem you encountered was specific to this mod.
I'm so sorry to ask but is there any way someone could make a video on how to remove the passives/change which armor slot it goes to? I tried reading the article but my small brain struggled to understand it, I've never really done anything like this before </3

It's about 25 minutes long though (obviously tutorials are not my strongsuit) It is in English and I unfortunately don't have the energy to write up subtitles right now, also Youtube is a nuisance so currently I just have it uploaded to Dropbox (link here). I don't plan on making copies on the same glasses use different texture paths, but the "Reading Glasses" use a separate texture from the "Clerical Eyeglasses".
Make sure you update the "KCE_Stats" loose file (loose files almost always override pak files). The old KCE_Stats file doesn't have the TreasureTable or Armor.txt entries for the new glasses.
Thank you for this mod. I use it constantly! One question, though: Is there some way to not have it show glasses on the character thumbnail icons when it is not equipped to a helmet or cloak slot? For example, I'm using the one on the underwear slot. I've even used the Transmog mod to make it looks like the underwear again, yet it is still on the character thumbnails. Thank you!
I don't think it's problem of mod, But Vanilla game bug. Equipping item disables jump action of character. I found it happens because of Passive skill from item. Passive of glasses constants permanently. So, removing the mod or glasses wasn't be solution...
same problem here, even removing the mod the passive skill is still there :(
Edit: actually I found a solution, after removing the mod you just have to kill your character or the companion with the permanent buff, after being ressurected the permanent buff is gone
In the meantime, if you have Script Extender and have the console enabled, you can use the following command to remove the passive: RemoveStatus(GetHostCharacter(),"MAG_SEE_INVISIBILITY_HIDDEN_IGNORE_RESTING")

Where did you get the Mystran necklace from ? I can't find it anywhere :D
Edit: Hmmm, I wonder if you can set it to an invisible/transparent/empty graphic, so there is nothing to display?
