can anyone tell me where exactly i have to put the .pak? rn i have it in name/appdata/local/larianstudios/baldursgate3/mods. but it just isn't working :( i have no custom races or anything. i just wanna make an asmodeus tiefling wildmage sorcerer with the outlander background. but the baldurian tag appears every time i try to create a character. i even tried to revamp an already existing tav with the resculpting mod. anyone help please? :(
This mod only works with new characters, but you also need to make sure you have Community Library, Compatibility Framework, and Tag Framework installed. Also no mods will work unless you add their entries to modsettings.lsx, which is why it's recommended you use BG3 Mod Manager to load mods as it does that for you when you export to game.
Also when you use BG3 Mod Manager they need to be in a specific order.
Community Library Tag Framework Outlander Not Baldurian Compatibility Framework
Are there any known incompatibilities? I can send a screenshot of my mods list, but downloading this and all the other requirements (compatibility framework, community library) along with the new dryad race mod has made my game crash after getting past the CC screen.
Yeah, the Dryad mod removes the Baldurian tag by default when playing as them. Didn't realise it would make the game crash, though! I'll do some testing when I can (currently have to redownload BG3 which is going to take all night LOL)
Hey I did some testing and didn't encounter any crashes with both mods installed. I recommend making sure that your Tag Framework is up to date as I know it had a few updates when it first released that fixed some crashes and bugs with it! :) If crashes still happen then it might be an incompatibility with something else, if you have more mods installed.
Okay I'll add a Noble one in a bit. Will comment here when finished. Have to wait for Tag Framework to update again tho as the latest update broke some stuff lol
No gameplay affect, only dialogue. The game will essentially just treat your character as if you're not natively from Baldur's Gate. Mainly for roleplay value or if you just don't want your character to be from Baldur's Gate for whatever reason lol
You can currently add this to any race you want so I might make some addons if there's interest. However it would apply to all new characters with that tag so you'd need to unload it before making a character that you want to be from Baldur's Gate lol.
Hey I made the Gnomes for you! Will add other subraces over time too. Should be safe to remove mid-playthrough as tags are applied when the character is generated so you can remove it when you want a Gnome from Baldur's Gate.
