Ghost that previews an attack when hovering over an enemy in combat
Ghost that stands above your character when in stealth in combat
What do they mean? Does ghost refer to ghosting these elements? Also I do not quite understand the difference between version 1.0 and 1.2.? Is version 1.0. still usable. For now I only tried version 1.2. which works perfectly as intended, but I do not really understand the differences, the advantages and disadvantages of both version, could you maybe explain?
And in the reshade setup I which effects should I choose, I choose for now everyone? And by addons in setup I add no add ons right? Just to ensure I installed it correctly? I mean it works for me, I just want to be on the safe side with my installation.
yes it works perfectly, providing you install it correctly. Honestly surprised this has so few downloads, the highlights everywhere drive me crazy especially in combat it looks terrible
Anyone having issues with shader toggler not working after patch 4? It just doesn't detect shaders anymore, I can't cycle thru or select anything because shader toggler doesn't find anything. I've tried with reshade 5.9.1 and 5.9.2... wondering if anyone's found a fix
I was finishing the game just as patch 4 came out, had Wyll's last quest and the final battle/Laezel's quest to finish. I have a ton of mods and was concerned about the patch breaking my game, so I actually went offline so the game didn't update when launching. Finished the game and turns out it was a blessing to not update (talking about the performance issue here).
I will update now and test the mod to see if it needs to change or just doesn't work any more. Thanks for the heads up!
This and the thirs person mod completely saved the game for me. Its so annoying how developers don't include the option to disable highlights. It completely ruins the immersion if everything is glowing different colours.
BTW, I have a similar mod for Pathfinder WotR on the Nexus. It was Hogwarts Legacy that drew my attention to the fact that Reshade has this function, that game has even more egregious highlighting, both outer highlights and the whole enemy model glows. Before Reshade, I was using an app called 3D Migoto to hide highlights and HUD elements. Yes, I have been doing this for a long time, have only started sharing on the Nexus recently though.
It removes much more than just blood splatters, i tested it and it is removing:
-Moss on rocks and ground -Some plants/grass lose their "thickness" (likely moss textures in act 2) -Watter puddles in general -Wall decayed/degrading textures -Wall splatter textures in general -Burnt wood effect from campfires and fireplaces -Purple teleport sigil shader (the fast travel sigils) -1/2 of the blessing of selûne effect (aura buff from act 2, uncertain if it affects other spells, but probably yes)
This was all a quick test in Act 2 at last light inn more specifically, there's probably more that i missed.
I've never heard about a reshade shader toggler before, i learned something new today, that's pretty cool, i also dislike highlight/outline effects in video games, this tool will be useful lol, thanks, and cheers.
Edit1: Version 1.1 of the mod. Edit2: Using just the outline shader (ShaderHash=322912011) it works fine, so its some toggler you added in version 1.1, version 1.0 is working as intended. Edit3: I figured it out, it was this pixel shader > (ShaderHash5=4034883366), related with the selection/aoe circles, it fixed ALL of the problems described above after removing it.
Probably, this is just a simple brute force way of doing it that I am capable of. I use Mors less annoying magical effects, Mor seems to know how to replace the effects without reshade, maybe ask if he can work his magic on the highlights/outlines.

I will take a look at what blood splatter and footprints are shared with.
