For those interested in an inmersive version, a few ones of this oils have made their way into the "Bag of Many Things" in the form of runes on my Elven Weaponry - Academy Robes mod. They are unique there, have a low spawn chance and are restricted to high level characters (this mod isn't needed for them to appear, they are just copies).
Superb work! I absolutely love this mod. i feel like this allows me to go back to play with the original game weapons. Do you have any plans to make buffs to armors? Maybe like a dye that adds effects to armors it's mixed with?
It would be easy, making them like potions and add the effects to the character instead of to the weapon. At technical level it would be just the same as my proficiency potions but adding damage effects instead of proficiencies.
But unarmed combat isn't something any interesting to me, so I won't make something like that. If someone want to use my code as a base to make their own, be my guest.
I want to start out by saying I really love this mod.....
But I just noticed that when I use the oil of divine light and the oil of sunlight on 1 of your bows whichever I use second overwrites the other don't know if that is intentionall or not but just wanted to let you know
That's on purpose, the light VFX itself won't stack anyway (that's how the game manage it) so I set up them to overwrite each other so you can change betweem light+damage or light only just with the two oils without needing to use the cleaning oil.
Thats likely just make then useless at game start and the same at highter levels.
This mod is intended to just cheating or as a tool for those who wants to add some flavor to a weapon easily. An inmersive version is not really planned, but i'll likely keep copying items from here to add them as uniques that can be adquire in a inmersive way on other mods like I already do with some of them on Elven Weaponry - Academy Robes.
It seems that Oil of Psyionic Weapon causes the weapon to disappear: I have the effect of dark smoke, but weapons are no longer visible. Not sure if that unwanted interaction with another mod, or just bug.
Removing default properties can only be done by editing the weapon, so it isn't possible (I mean, it's but you require a mod for edit each weapon you want).
Out of curiosity, why you want to remove finesse of all things? Unless you are using a mod that change it, finesse doesn't have anything negative.
Its not finesse that I wanted to remove, its mostly the versatile property on longswords specifically.
More for RP reasons, as BG3 defaults versatile weapons to two-handed when you only have them equipped. When I tried removing the versatile property on a weapon mod pak I opened, that's when I discovered you can wield longswords one-handed.
I'm not really also well versed in coding, too. That's about the only thing I'm capable of doing lol
If you look at my mods, I have that option for my versatile weapons, but that is done simple by creating two identical weapons but one of them without the versatile property. Them what the crafting do is change between them.
But as far as I know there isn't any way of automated the process for all weapons.
The work you do with all your mods is simply outstanding, thank you so much <3 Special thank you for vfx removal option, the game is pretty polluted with it as is.

Update 1.1
-Add three new oils; psychic, force and thunder.
That's a good idea, but no something I'll plan to do for the moment. Maybe in the future...

Neither of those things is something I have planned at the moment.
There is technically a way to add it for the same oil, but it's extremely long to code so isn't worth it for such a minor thing.
like for example, removing the finesse property on speedy reply (which normally has it already).
really cool mods btw, only realizing youre the one who makes the elven weapon mods too! thanks!

Just figured I'd ask if there was a way. So far all I've done is to unpak weapon mods and manually remove versatile from those weapons.
Thank you for taking the time to answer!
