Looks like Downgrade is a thing with BG3 unfortunately. Seems like they messed up how character progression works , which would exterminate almost 90% of cool mods out there. I hope im wrong
Hello, I am not very active anymore on the modding world so I am sorry for long overdue replies, I just tested this and it works fine for me, berserker barbarians get it at level 10 as intended for the normal version and all barbarians get it at level 2 as intended for all classes version. Which version did you guys try? How did you install it? What other mods are you using? What priority did you give it?
This is exactly what i expected of the berserker, thank you for making the mod! I dont know if it is possible but could you make a version of this that is usable once per rage and you do 6/3 or 8/4 attacks but if you miss, the combo stops, it would be really cool and balanced.
Would you be able to do 4 and 2 attacks with the -2 penalty? I felt like 6/3 is a bit much but 4/2 with the penalty can bring about situations where with hold person/beast/monster having synergy with this.
Basically you're spending a Rage Charge AND an Action Point in return for return for three actions and three bonus actions (if dual weapon). That's what it boils down to. Bonkers, yes, and maybe a bit too strong, but yeah, it fits the barbarian theme. I'd put a penalty on the damage (not a big one, say -2 per attack) personally to make it slightly more balanced. But overall, I love the theme.
Might be wrong on it feeling too strong, but that's just my gut feeling, especially when you consider how you could burn all your rage points in the first few rounds of combat and get ungodly amounts of damage. IE level 10, two actions (extra attack that all martials get). Action 1, Berserk Assault. Action 2, Berserk Assault. Or if you're Hasted, Action 3, Berserk Assault. That'd be upwards of 9(18) attacks from one character, all in one round.
Just my gut feeling. Not saying the mod is bad, and you do list it as a Cheat, just pointing out gut feeling. If you want something slightly more balanced, perhaps put a limiter of once per turn (still have the rage and action point cost) and a -2 damage per hit. That way its still strong, but a bit more limited.
Glad my input was useful. There are busted builds, no matter what you do. I saw one, with gear, that turns flurry of blows into an insane damage machine. Where you're rolling three dice for EACH punch. When I saw this that build came to mind. So, I thought about how it could be abused (players are prone to that) and how to balance it.
Game balance is always tricky. I created a faster progression for Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster. Looking back I realize perhaps it was too fast (level 5 by 12th level). So, after finally fixing a bug, I'll be putting up a slightly more balanced (but still better than vanilla) version for them.

Thanks for the insight
Will do it as a different version but keep this one as well

No it's not copied over from existing skills,
I built it myself through animations from the basic "mainhandattack" skill
