Please release a version of this that just covers the range changes. No other mod seems to do that, and I don't enjoy the short-rest conflicting with another mod I use to make it per turn. Please! Edit: I just loaded the per/turn mod after this one and it seems to be working as intended after a quick reboot. Forget me!
I'd greatly appreciate a Fizbans version of the breath attack (1d10 damage vs 2d6, DC = 8 + con mod + prof bonus, damage increases by 1d10 at 5th and 11th level, uses per long rest equal to proficiency bonus)
Seems to work fine mechanically, however the visual effects don't seem to be working at all. I tried disabling all my other mods that could possibly influence it, with no luck in getting the effects working, and manual installation for some reason made every single one of my other mods stop working, thus crashing the game upon loading my save. Is there something I'm missing? I'm playing a bronze dragonborn, so it should be utilising the lightning breath. It doesn't influence the gameplay itself but is still kind of irritating.
I was using it with the blue dragonborn, which uses the same breath weapon. The visuals are fine, but I haven't played that for a while, so I don't know yet if it's possible a patch messed with something. And I'll be honest, I haven't kept up to see if anything changed with manual installation, this was made before Nexus' mod manager was available, and the BG3 mod manager wasn't as stable for some people.
Most likely case is that there is a conflict with some other mod, if the patches didn't mess anything up.
No, that was a result of me trying to figure out what's what in the code, and was accidentally left there when I finalized the changes. And it's a minor thing that I was too lazy to fix so far (and wouldn't have noticed). Why breath weapon is it on? I have a Blue Dragonborn save, and that one doesn't have the bug.
is this safe to uninstall and load a save file that had it installed ? Edit : Made a new save for it while it was installed and loaded it with the mod uninstalled after. Save still loaded so it seems safe to use if uninstalled after.
Yeah, there shouldn't be any issues with installing or uninstalling from existing saves. The only way I could see it possible being an issue is if the save was in the middle of using the breath weapon, if that's even possible.
Is this mod no longer working? I just started a brand new dragonborn sorcerer and no matter where I put this mod in the load order my breath weapon still has a max range of 17 feet. I am using the faster scaling version of the mod so idk if it's just that version or both that are not working.
Just tested it after not playing since before Patch 2, still works fine on both versions. Not sure what's causing your issue, or if there's a mod that conflicts with it despite the improved compatibility
Technically related to this mod but also mostly not.
Would it be possible for you to correct the description of the breath weapons to state the correct attack type. There are a few that state cone. I think brass or fire is the only one that says column. It drives me crazy in character creation because I have to remember which one actually does what.
I'll look into it when I have time again, I need to find where the descriptions are. That and broken tooltips is annoying, but I didn't think too much of it since you only need to worry about it once and it doesn't impact the mechanics (and I guess because I already memorized which breath is which)
