Are you using either Unique Tav or Eyes of the Beholder? It’s likely another mod you have installed that’s overriding the file I used to change the accessory color. Try playing around with load order and see if that fixes it.
So EotB is overriding - try putting mine below it and see if that allows both to function correctly. It's possible doing so will override whatever EotB uses that file for, so keep that in mind, but that's the only chance to have the two co-exist.
I'm not using EotB or Unique Tav but having the same issue of the silver accessories on hair 1 showing as gold still. Are there any other known overrides/conflicts I can test?
Those are the only ones I’m aware of but it’s very possible another mod you have installed is using the same file and overriding. Try moving mine to the very bottom of your load order and see if that resolves it. Like I said in a previous comment, this may cause an override in whatever other mod that is using the same file, it’s honestly still unknown to me what other mods use that file for specifically though, so it’s hard for me to say. In my limited experience it doesn’t actually affect the other mods and they both co exist if mine is prioritized in the mod manager.
Okay so it's fixed! I tried moving it around the load order but that didn't help. Then, I moved two jewellery mods to inactive and loaded up a game, then the accessory came out silver! But it also continued to work even after I moved the other two jewellery mods back to active. I also keep Silver's Hair Packs at the very top of my load order. Wanted to post in case anyone else has this issue and it manages to fix it for them too! :)
Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon.
"Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.
Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.
You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."
If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.
These have quickly become my absolute favourite hairs!!
I was curious if, at some point (whenever convieneint), you might be open to adding a version that does NOT include highlights? Reason being that for the Half-angel halos, those use the highlights channel to change the halo colour, so for those who want to say, have solid black hair, but a red halo, or white hair with a black halo, there's only a handful of hairs out there that don't have a highlight channel on the heir mesh itself. Been dying for more options on that front, especially with some of these longer hairs that are my all time favs :)
Hi! I could probably make you an alternate pack version without highlights, sure. Message me on discord (final.girl) or in dms here and we can discuss it. :)
Scantily Camp outfits (skirtless version, transmogged to armor slot)
Modular Skirts Jaheira's skirt (foot slot)
Basket of Equipment - I think it's the "chainmail gloves" if memory serves me right (gloves, durr)
Shel's Circle of Artifice (head slot)
I can't for the life of me remember which mod gives you the cape, but it's the fancy cape Gale can get at end of game
Angel Wings and Halos is for the... wings and crystal halo (Crystal Crown + armored wings, which I put in the underwear slot, transmogged)
Dye used for the whole set is either the Metal Dyes (two different combos of the black cloth-silver variations, specifically the gloves use one and the rest of the outfit I use the other) OR for a lighter silver, the Black & Silver dye that comes in the Basket of Equipment mod. I kinda bounced between the two but I think the metal dyes is the one I stick with more often than not because it inputs silver threading when you use the silver-silver version on the skirt and gives a nice slightly dark silver evenly across all metals.
I just wanted to let you know I found a compatibility issue regarding your mod which can be quite specific but putting it out there just in case!
Your mod works well and as intended. However...
I'm currently playing a multiplayer game with a friend. In order for MP to work we use the same mods in the same mod order. When we have your mods installed or installed and inactive - she cannot join me into the game.
The reason? After extensive testing, turns out it is because her character is on the big male body and that makes it impossible for her to join the game. We tried the MP on her other character with a regular body and there was no issues there.
Just wanted to let you know this happens, in case anyone else also runs into this issue.
Otherwise thanks for the mod and a minor ask - for Hair 1 is there any way to make some slight hair tweaks to remove the clipping for elf/half elf/etc pointy ears? Like maybe moving the braids a bit higher? No idea how these hairs are even made, but I appreciate your work nonetheless!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and especially being thorough in your testing to narrow down the problem! I don't think there should be anything about the way my mod is set up that is going to be different enough for it to be causing an issue where other similar mods don't. If it is, I unfortunately don't know why it would be happening and thus wouldn't know how to go about fixing it.
BUT, I've had my own issues with making mods coexist in multiplayer games in the past, and the main thing that I always found to be the solution to the problem was making sure all players had not only the same mods, but the same VERSIONS of the same mods. So maybe double check that one of you isn't running an older version and see if that could be the cause. Hope this helps!
Oh, and I don't plan to revisit Hair 1 right now, sorry. In a lot of hairs that are pulled back like that, the amount of scrunching that needs to be done to avoid clipping with all the various long ears turns out pretty ugly, in my opinion.
Your hairpacks are beautiful! Some of my absolute favorites. I wanted to thank you specifically for adding support for the Dhampir race mod. I've been getting a run going with a Dhampir character and was missing your looks badly. It was such a treat to see that update! Thank you for sharing your work with us. You have given a lot of joy to other players. :)
Hi! I am making a Simic Hybrid race mod (currently unreleased while I finish some things up) and I was wondering if I could create a CC patch for them on release for your hair packs 1 and 2? No worries if not of course!! ty!
