    Thanks for all the reporting, hope you enjoy the file.
    Reports seem to say, you don't get Starting Gear, if you load this mid game.

    Working with Patch 17 - Jan 16 2024
    Weight Limit set to 2500 lbs
    Added Several Uniques: Markoheshkir, Joltshooter, Gontr Mael, Bloodthurst, Crimson Mischief,
    -Spellmight Gloves (there is a mod to restore Force damage), and Robe of the Weave in addition
    -to the original items NightWalkers, Hag Staff and Spider Queen Robe.
    Still can't add a Helm due to auto equipping, which appears on Creation Portrait (apparently a game bug).
    Several things I'm forgetting.

    Hiya! I love this mod and I was wondering if there is any future where the stat increases come back or is it an abandoned feature due to the new updates? Regardless thank you for having created this! I've been following this mod since the game first released. A bit sad if the feature is abandoned as I don't think any other mod does the same thing.

    If there is another way to increase those limits mind letting me know? I would appreciate it a ton! Once more thank you!

    I've moved v9 back into your "Main files" section as all available files were on "Old files". This makes it very confusing for users trying to download the mod. :)

      Yikes, could not figure out how that happened.
      I intentionally hid them, since it was breaking Saves!
      There is a new file structure in the last big patch, so old files break.
      It's fixed now for the moment/current file structures.
      Thanks for trying to help.
      It's ok to Email or PM me if I need to give permission.

      Started a forum thread to find out how to remove files because I could not figure out how to delete them.
      It was shocking because I didn't want to be responsible for a file that would break someones game.
      I really want to Delete them because they will break games.
      I was told the only thing I could do was Archive them.

      Feel free to undo the changes I made. Because your only main file failed to upload I rolled your mod back to the last version. If you've shared the new version again you can archive the files again.

      Apologies for the confusion, when this happens I can either restore the last version or hide your page. I felt it was less confusing to users to rollback as it wasn't clear to me that these files had issues (may others just archive files for no reason).

      No worries, I did it like that on purpose because I felt like the page should still be here, even though the file was down temporarily.
      I did fix everything to the best of my abilities (i.e. rehid all the files) until the fix.
      Oh, don't worry if I need help I'll ask, I'm sure the forums are full of my dumb questions. 

      I'm confused about Nexus having that email, it must be from the Main Forums, not sure why there are two different logins.
      I recall trying to pay for a lifetime membership but was refused because I was using a normal credit card.
      Apparently Nexus was only taking PayPal att but they added an extra $20+ usd (can't recall exactly).
      I'll try to fix the different email. (There was a forum and or emails about it as well, heh.)

      I checked the email for the forum and modding areas, they are the same and so no idea how Nexus got that email, on my end.
      I just looked at the email you sent, I've never Sent or Received Any Emails to Nexus on that address. 
      Please check to see what's going on, afaik I never gave Nexus that email.
      My theory is, if I had sent or received Emails with Nexus there would be logs in my Email system, there is not.

      It's hard for me to reply, because I don't know 'specifically' what you "don't like".
      Really the only buff for Wizard only is the gear, so is that the problem?

      For example, the 4000+ Weight is for all, afaik.
      Any class can pick Sage Backgroud, not necessarily because you want it but it is Buffed, with all the other skills.
      So by picking Sage with any class you automatically get all the Skiils, afaik.

      See why, I'm having trouble pinpointing what you really want?

      You all must have missed the discussion about this, there are only 4 files.
      You can remove or edit anyone you want.
      You don't like the Starting Gear or want Gear for a different Class?
      Then edit it, rename or remove the Equipment.txt.
      But be aware, I removed the Helmet because of a gamebug (afaik) makes your Avatar Icon at Creation.
      I couldn't figure out how to add Helm directly to the Inventory, during Creation att and haven't tried since then.

      I don't dislike anything and I've already done what you describe, meaning that I've removed all the files from the mod, except for Data.txt, because I just wanted the removal of the stats cap. What I requested was simply a separation of that part of the mod from the rest. Basically, you'd just need to add a second file that contains only the Data.txt file. for those like me who only want the stat cap removal, but they're not sure how to do it.

      I'm in that same boat, My group loves grinding without limits, so this mod was almost perfect outside the extra's

      That said I still cant get past 20 in any stat

      So the thing that leads a lot of people to look at this mod is the ability to increase stats above 20. There are a lot of mods that do this, but are limited to only allowing buffs to set abilities above 20, and cannot get the ability score increase one can choose over a feat to go above 20. I will call this the menu cap. For instance, a wizard cannot go above 20 via the option to increase ability score instead of a feat at level up, but can do so with gear increases and potions, which is kind of limiting.

      The extra features such as the base weight increase and other things, while useful, are not that interesting to people such as myself and seen as kind of overpowered in a cheaty kind of way. Removing the menu cap, however, and allowing a character to progress naturally above 20 in an ability score before any buffs are applied is what a lot of people seem to want. I personally have not tried this mod, however this is the thing a lot of other mods point to this one as being the only one able to pull off the removal of the menu cap.

      Think the Abilities and Skills are a problem for everyone atm because of the new changes.
      (most notability the File and Pak Structure)
      I still use this, not only for the good gear but because it's most Customizable.

    For those wanting only the Attribute/Stat increases, the easiest and closest way to handle that right now is download the latest version of this mod and then only use the file 'Data.txt' and delete the rest. The exact changes you get doing this are as follows:
    ThrowDistanceMax 18 -> 24
    AbilitySoftCap 40 -> 120
    CarryWeightBase 40 -> 4000
    AbilityMaxValue 30 -> 110
    MaximumXPCap 6500 -> 65000
    InitiativeDie 4 -> 20

    So a bit more than just the increases but not much more and way easier to just use this than to learn how to extract the file and modify it yourself. Hope this helps folk feel better about using this specific file.

      For additional context;

      My personal concern was actually that the mod was made using the file pre-hotfixes and the recent Patch1 and that it might be overriding potential official fixes. As such I checked the Data.txt from the most recent and verified version of the game, along with Hotfix1 through Hotfix4 paks, plus Patch1.pak.
      While some of the other files in this mod are touched via patching and might need updated to get every little fix, the file Data.txt is actually untouched and can safely be used without missing out on any of the official patches.

      ps- To be very clear I'm a amateur and might have missed something so grain of salts around. Also the possibility of accidentally overriding patch fixes isn't a mod creator's fault, simply the nature of override files. Just means mod creators need to check each update.pak to make sure they are using the most update files as a baseline. For example Patch1.pak contains a Equipment.txt file, so this mod will need to release an update merging the patch changes and the mod changes.

      What does the MaximumXPCap refer to? This is XP of what? Asking cause I'm using the Level 133 Mod as well and wondering if it will interfere with it.

      It started PreRelease like many mods, then to Released and just now to Update 17.
      The progression is and has always been listed on the main page.
      I didn't always remember all the changes since it was from my constantly shifting edits.
      Someone just asked for it to be posted.
      Yes, the .pak changed and why many mods broke.
      I tried to delete old version but couldn't then tried to Archive them.
      They got uncovered accidentally by an Admin.
      But mostly fixed now, still can't figure out how to give a starting Helm without messing up Creation Photo.
      Still having trouble releasing just Stat Increases Only.
      Atm best I can do but me personally since I don't mind Bonus Gear, there's ALOT of new pieces!

      or search for "<!-- Disable increase ability button, if ability value >= 20 -->" and change the "Binding Source" value.
      Should allow to go beyond 20 points in the character creation screen.

      Thanks, very helpful. Any idea where to look for the Point-Buy and Ability Score limits during chargen?
      Update: So, after trying the .xaml tweak, a curious thing happens.
      The buttons in the 'Ability Score Increase' menu become clickable, but clicking them doesn't actually do anything other than provide a satisfying noise. I suspect there's something else that needs changing

      how do i get into that file? i am new to modding and even after unpacking a lot of the pak files i dont seem to find that one
      edit- okay i found it and changed it, but theres a problem, even after changing it in the CClib and in the data.txt whenever i put more points via lvl up, even if i put 21 on any stat it just wont let me hit the continue buttom, the choices pending red flag doesnt let me :c

    Hi! I really love your Mod. I want to ask why nothing changes  after i change the "data" txt ability cap number from 110 to 150-200. I know i may sound stupid asking this. Hope anyone can help me with this one .

    Ok so I just got your mod, im at the character creation menu, when i pick wizard the character looks normal nothing like yours, is there anything im doing wrong or does it need an update?

      I'm not really sure, first thing I would ask is did you install it correctly?
      Or maybe you have another mod that edits the Equipment.txt in the Generated folder?
      I didn't actually try it on every single Race but it's armor currently in the game from the developers.
      So it's just not showing up on your Creation, those 2 ideas/questions are the only possibilities, afaik.

      Im using limitbreaker v2 and unlocklevelcurve, thats it, nothing equipment related tbh.

      Limitbreaker is new to me, and looks like it changes so much I've got no idea.

      I know for a fact this works with UnlockLevelCurve.
      I'm surprised if you are playing a Wizard but not using 5eSpells?

      I can give you my opinion but I could easily be wrong and haven't spent any time on it.
      Limitbreaker is conflicting with UnlockLevelCurve and my edits.
      Since your interested in these, I'd suggest starting Character Creation without Limitbreaker just as a test.
      But make sure you start it Clean, and by that I mean make sure you unInstall Limitbreaker with BG3 Mod Manager.
      And also most important, Move Limitbreaker out of the Mods folder.
      I know it sounds crazy but some mods can still effect the game if they are left in the Mod folder but are UnInstalled.

      Can you try this mod on your end and let me know? And also I will remove all mods and start from scratch with just this mod and see whats going on. For the limitbraker mod I was using lvl229, so another problem I had was the leveling stops at 204 which could mean that either this is interfering with xp stuff or the total xp value maybe too high in the limitbreaker, i think the cutoff is 131000 or something.

      Just trying to be clear here, if you mean me try Spicy Wiz, I do use it and I'm near certain it works for others.
      Robere10 was just talking about getting it running, so none of the Updates have broken it, afaik.

      If you mean LimitBreaker, I don't have time to test someone else's mod atm.
      The first thing I see on the Description is Level Cap of 133, so not sure about your lvl 229.
      Secondly it changes SO many things, I don't even know how I would have time.
      Some thing like LimitBreaker would take vast amounts of time and correlation to any specific problems, which can be even game bugs.

      So, if your having fun with Limitbreaker just keep using it but you probably need to stop leveling.
      But if your having problems, depending on how deep you are into the game, you might have to do a restart.

      I don't see how your issues are from Spicy Wizard but certainly hope you get it figured out if your having fun.
      The only safe and scaled leveling is up to 20 atm, at least afaik.
      I would rather play the game (which I haven't completed yet) now instead of testing mods I don't feel safe testing.

      Oh no this mod is great, not trying to undermine this by any means. Limitbreaker has an option just for lvl229 tho, not just 133. Also I am not using the limitbreaker passives jus because that is a very buggy experiencce i don't want to deal with lol.

    na that was a bug if you picked diff  race than the op it would change your char i think that was it,  that was fixed i believe so just make your own wizzy char and at the end of it it should be it i think hehe .

    Just to be clear...does this allow for ability stats to go past 30 for wizards only or does any character get the benefit of being able to have ability scores past 30?

      yea all classes from what ive been reading and theres also a post on getting it it to work on games in progress so follow the instructions in that posts if you can find them, i think only thing not got is the new wizzy equip that he put in the game at tutorial ect.

      yea im not able to  post for some reason so im sorry i hijacked your post.

      anyway when i try to use the bg3 mod manager it doesnt allow me to add mods into the manager part , been useing the mod manager for the other larien games for years so i know how to use it properly , also the path is different from the steam or gog layout says , in my steam/commanaps/bg3/ect path it doesnt have the mod folder so i make one np then goto look at the directory path of bg3 MM and its got more folders than the steam version in the directory so im confused, i all ready chked the path in MMbg3 properties and its auto directed to the right exe ect  so im really stuck.  

      props to author of this mod was only 1 i could use and just made a started new game on it and the changes worked great so was just wanting to thank you for your hard work in getting this mod sorted :} thx again OP .
