Since there were a lot of questions about installation of this mod, here's a more detailed rundown:
1. Download chosen file MANUALLY, DO NOT USE ANY MANAGERS/DOWNLOADERS.
2. Put the file in the game's DATA FOLDER inside the INSTALLATION FOLDER (e.g. for users with Steam, it will be something like steamapps/common/Baldur's Gate 3/Data)
3. Right-click on file and choose Extract here (Note: For those who do not know, this is a RAR archive, which is opened by a variety of tools like WinRAR, WinZIP or Windows default unpacker).
5. The file should now unpack and AUTOMATICALLY create all the necessary folder structure.
It should look like this:
For Fast XP to Level 5: [BG3]/Data/Public/Shared/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt
For Double XP: [BG3]/Data/Public/Shared/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt [BG3]/Data/Public/SharedDev/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt
Alternatively, you can unpack the archive wherever you want and then copypaste the unpacked Public folder with all its contents to the Data folder inside your BG3 installation folder.
*** CORRECTION *** I was able to get this working. Not sure exactly how, but started over with a fresh installation, loaded Level 20 first, checked it worked, then loaded Fast XP, and now it's working fine.
I can confirm that this does not currently work with Patch 8. With just this mod installed and the Level 20 companion mod installed I get the "Failed to load main menu" error message and the game crashes.
If you're combining this with the Multiclass Level 20 mod, what level do you end up at with the Fast to Level 6 version? I used the Double XP version and it was just overkill.
Hello, I am running into the issue where I cannot level up to 7. My player is stuck at 6. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to fix it? Thank you
I installed this mod on already started campaign and my tav have one level less than companions. Is there any way I can get this one level up only for my tav?
Hello. I downloaded and installed, thank you for the simple guide! As it works, I was a little startled. I was level 3 at the beginning, but I could already level everyone up to 6..I was a little sad this has speeded the level progress too fast for my liking. I wished to take it easy - but since I was unable to do well in tutorial, I decided I want a little boost. This seemed perfect. However, not only did it just skip all levels up to 6 so early, but suddenly I can pick "deity" for all jobs on respec? Even originals... and it looks like I am boosted in many other way. I like to keep my game balanced possible, even though XP is a little cheat, I was tired of trying to find ways to get to level 4 to do the things I feel are difficult. I am fine with this, but I am confused why suddenly deities are also unlocked. Over a year ago I had a mod installed that allowed to choose deities, I uninstalled it long since. I don't know why this is suddenly an option when it was not a day ago when I respec? I wished to let it known in case I am mistaken (let me know!) I installed only pack "Until lv 6"BTW!
