I can't seem to get the pronouns to change. I'm using OIO light and a handful of mod.io mods that probably change some dialogue so I don't know if that's why
Hi, I got a question, maybe is stupid so please don't mind.
I am still on hotfix #26 version of game, because last update make my loading time extremely long, like 20 minutes.
So question is, can I use this last version of BIG male dialogs and journal entries for Laezel and Karlach that is Patch 7, Hotfix 27 compatible? Will that cose problems to my game bearing in mind that is hotfix #26?
I do not know, but I doubt it would matter. If you use another mod like those I discuss in the description then the 'Small' ones will work perfectly fine as they were not updated
Thanks for reply, I am not using any similar mod like you mention. I will try this new version, and see how it go. Hopefully I can revert to previous version, if somethings go wrong. Thanks again man, I really enjoy this mod combined with male Karlach and Laezel version!
The Wylla mod still exists for a female version of Wyll https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2565 I am not sure otherwise wht mod you refer to being removed. I know there was one for Dame Aylin swapping her to male that was removed.
It can someone just has to do it! I do not speak such languages.
I posted an article for the related mod (female dialogues) giving instructions on the translation process https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/5329?tab=articles
I was rereading the thing and I'm having a little bit of trouble getting these to work again. Do I install one big mod then install small for the rest of the characters or am I missing something?? I've been trying to get these to work for awhile now and they seem to be not working irregardless of where I place them in the load order. I also removed some files that I think conflicted. It worked fine hours ago this morning and now it's not...I don't know what to do. Any suggestions??
You just require one of the big versions or one of the other mods I mentioned (or some others too), then include any of the small ones you like. Generally put the big (or other text sort of mods) high in your load order and the small ones below them
I am not sure but you may also need the mod fixer mod installed or another mod that includes it
When you say they do not work, you mean all text is unchanged, or just some. Are the journal entries altered?
Remember these mods DO NOT affect the voice/audio and have no affect on the appearance of the characters
No no I remember last time that you said they didn't alter appearances and voices. I read the thing I just had trouble interpreting things is all. Anyways what I mean is that the text is always unchanged, even the journal entries. I'm not sure what to do as this is an amazing mod but I'll do what you said and give you an update on what happens.
Thank you for taking the time to respond by the way. I just really love this mod so just eager to get it working again.
good news. It's working again! Thank you for the help!! <3
Okay update #2:
I think I figured out what caused the issue.
There's an issue with this mod and the male dialogue: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2652?tab=files
I'm not sure which one specifically but I'm gonna test it. see which voice is causing the issue or if it's all of them. Again thank you for your help but I wanted to bring this up to you in case it's something you wanna take a look at
Hi. I only have downloaded the male dialogue switchers but when I just met default Astarion after the crash it uses "her" in the options. Option 2, it says "Tell her your name and your story"
Yeah, these mods do not need to be active, something in how these sort of localisation/text mods work. Similar mods like the 'Show Approvals' one I mentioned explicitly say to NOT activate to address an issue if you do not have the mod fixer installed
I have been able to work out why some people do not see the text changes and others do (works perfectly for me) I personally have always had the mod "Show Approval Ratings in Dialogs" installed and if this or similar mods are installed above one of mine then mine work fine. Without one of these then they do not!
Unsure exactly why it is relating to how strings are merged into the game. These mods replace ALL game strings and alter only the ones they are wish, but include all of them.
I am going to have to change my mods to use a similar process somehow, somewhat painful to maintain!
So for now if you install another dialogue fix mod like
Show Approval Ratings https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2027 Over Explained Options https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2631 Astarion Post Ascension Dialogue Fix https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/5037
then my mods will also work!
I will release updates when I have got them working independently
I'm not quite sure why I can't get this and your other mod to work. Perhaps you might be able to assist me? I have installed all versions of both of your mods through BG3 Mod Manager but no matter what I do I can't get any text to change. I even tried launching the game with just these mods activated and it still didn't work. Any ideas?
Okay so I found the problem I was having. Turns out I accidentally left a couple of override mods in the Mod Manager and one of those happened to be the problem. It was Trips' Old Shaderpack. Hopefully this can help someone else in the future who has both of these mods active and can't find out why this mod isn't working for them.
EDIT: Seems that when I added all of my mods I wanted to use back in the text changes reverted back to default again. I will continue to do some testing and get back to you with other mods that might conflict with this one.
Thanks, I checked the mods you listed and it is very unclear why they interfere with my mods, they do not override the same file and there are no other conflicts I can see.
The shader pack especially as it effectively just adds new files for use of other mods, it does not alter anything in the game itself.
I will have to ask around and see if more experienced modders have any suggestions
Yeah some of them did seem odd to me why they would conflict but I have incredibly basic understanding of the modding process of this game. I appreciate the time you took to respond and just wanted to thank you for your work on the mods!
Works perfectly for me including with a number of the listed mods installed.
The only thing I have observed that can prevent the mod working is if you leave it too low in the mod order. I find I have to have them high in the order, near the top (though under say show approval ratings mod if you use it)
Please see the top sticky, my mods here can fail to work without some other mods that modify text in the game. I think any issue will relate to these other mods being absent or below mine in the load order

I have posted an article for my female versions, the process is otherwise identical for these mods
