You alone can make his song take flight...

Aaaanyway. :P
This mod has taken way longer than it should have, considering it is just ONE TINY item, with only 1 mesh :*facepalm*
However, masks in game are scarce and those we have cover the entire face, so they smartly avoid all the clipping issues I faced, lol.

What does this do?
It's a mask remodeled after the Phantom Mask from the Broadway musical, because I'm obsessed with it (who isn't?).
The mask uses the Smuggler's Ring stats, minus the charisma malus, only so I don't have to keep making that ring into a necklace since I want him to use 2 other rings.
NOT ONLY! Because the Phantom lives in Darkness, it allows you to cast Beckoning Darkness to haunt the unfortunate souls who run into him.
NOT ONLY! When you wear the mask, you can perform Music without the required proficiency, and this mod comes with a tune replacement! :3

I thought it'd take forever to learn how to change the music, but in truth it took only 2 days, WAY less than the decades it took to edit the mask's mesh into something visually acceptable. See below for links on how to change Music - the rest I just figured out by searching the name of the original tune in Multitool and just copying/editing/replacing what made sense into my mask's stats and code. Lmk if you find bugs.

About the mask:
- The mask was modeled on Astarion's head. It will only work on male Body 1 type, and it should display on others with the same body BUT there will definitely be clipping since every face is different and there's no way I can make it for everyone/every race. Maybe I will adapt it to a couple more Origin characters in the future. Try it out and let me know, I'm open to feedback.
- Even if modeled on his face, it's possible there will be some clipping on him too, still. Afaik you can't hide only certain pieces of the face or only some hair, so things are poking out here and there. The solution would be to keep the mask away from the face but with this mask it looks kind of silly - his nostrils are already half-blocked as is, so that's as far as I will move it xD (vampires don't need to breathe anyway, lucky me!)
- The mask uses a custom texture, so it's white as the original mask and it's not tintable because there's no Mskcloth. However, I leave this open to download without permissions. If you want to change the color, feel free to edit the .dds BM texture (it's super easy since it's a giant white circle xD)
-The mask for now is only obtainable via Tutorial Chest Summon. I'm open to suggestions on where to make it available that doesn't look too silly :P

About playing the tune:
- You don't need Instruments proficiency to play when you wear the mask.
- To play the Music of the Night, you need to use a Lyre.
- Yes, this is played on a Celtic Harp, and the game only has 6-string Lyre harps.. :D Let's pretend it's the same :P
- The custom tune replaces the lyre version of "Of Divinity and Sin". To replace a tune it must be the same exact lenght by the second, and Of Divinity and Sin was the only bard song long enough - almost! There are some seconds of silence when the Phantom finishes playing, I filled the empty space with white noise.
- This is a solitary song, lol. No bands! I removed (I think!) the code that makes people join in, since there are no other instrument versions except the lyre one.
- Only the Lyre version is replaced. You can still play the other instrument versions of Of Divinity and Sin. Or at least my Tav did with her flute.
- I don't have a Youtube channel, but I uploaded a snippet (1 min out of 3+) of Astarion playing here

HOW TO INSTALL
There are two separate files:
The .pak, you can install as usual with your mod manager of choice. Make sure it loads before Summon Tutorial Chest mod or it may not show up.

The optional download folder contains the music replacement. You have to unzip it and place it in your BG3 installation folder. The result should be as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public\Shared\Assets\Sound\282455428.wem, or wherever it is that you have BG3 installed.

You can choose to only DL the mask and not the music. I'm not sure what happens if you click to perform the Phantom's tune then, most likely it will be silent, probably it will just play the original tune.

---------------------

To uninstall, remove the Sound folder. Uninstall the .pak as you would normally with your mod manager.

I think that's all, I hope you enjoy it! I mostly made it for fun but someone else might like it.

Credits and thanks:

Thanks immensely to Tendirty and his mod Custom Battle Music Audio Replacement and Guide, which made the process very easy!
Also immense thanks to Gregulation for his comment on Tendirty's mod with the bard song IDs and many more! Life savior, I was already going to cry after listening manually to about 100 out of 26k files, and then found his comment!

As always, thanks to AntemaxxDruundev for making modding tutorials!
