- Community Library - VFX Library by Shivero - 2e spells (optional and will be phased out in future updates) - Cleric Subclasses (if you are using it) - Sword Dancer - Any optional files (currently none, but will be added in the future) - Compatibility Framework
Common Issue:
- Class didn't show up in CC / respec / level up - Check/update Compatibility Framework
- Class Icons didn't show up - Check/update ImprovedUI Assets
- My moonlit weapon isn't glowing - Check/update VFX Library by Shivero
Plans for upcoming updates beside from bug fixes:
- move Moonfire Flare to level 8 and replace Divine Strike - new level 6 feature: Dark Dancer - When under Eilistraee's Dance, you may make an additional weapon attack if you have used your action to make a weapon attack - Limit Eilistraee's Dance moonbeam damage to once per creature per turn
Currently this class has a wisdom charisma split for class feature, mainly wisdom for spellcasting while charisma for other abilities, making this class quite MAD. I can see a couple solutions and each has their pros and cons.
1. Heavy Armor proficiency: I didn't give this class heavy armor proficiency as they don't exactly fit the graceful dancer image. pros: no longer need to invest 14 points into dexterity for medium armor. cons: wearing light/cloth armor is still not great for the class
2. Finesse vs Charisma weapon: personally I like charisma weapons as I think it fits the class better? pros: finesse weapon will mean this subclass then rely a lot less on Charisma making it less MAD cons: I still really like the idea of class features scaling off of charisma and that might make it more MAD in some cases.
3. Make it a full charisma based cleric? pros: remove dependency on Wisdom so this subclass can be fully charisma based including spellcasting. Can limit god tag to Eilistraee by disabling god selection. cons: compatibility with mods that modifies cleric progression, like more feats / more spell slots / etc. the [Cleric of Eilistraee] dialoge tag might not appear? have not figured out if its determined by a combination of Cleric and Eilistraee tag or hard coded to be dependent on the cleric class. Ability to multiclass with other clerics...
4. Add cleric spells through subclass progression? pros: give charisma based spells without making it a new class. cons: double version of each spell in spell preparation menu, which will clutter up the space. Number of spell can be prepared is still based off of wisdom
5. Add a passive that increased / decrease spell attack roll and spell save DC based on character's Wisdom and Charisma pros: should mimic the effect of the #4 without cluttering up the space cons: might have interactions with items and stuff that uses Spellcasting Mod like Arcane Synergy which would still use your wisdom modifier. number of spells you can prepare is still based off of wisdom.
6. Give up on charisma and have it completely based off of wisdom pros: less ability score requirement to optimize for cons: removes the unique Charisma focused identity of this cleric subclass.
7. Making it a paladin / Sorcerer subclass instead pros: everything is charisma based cons: I don't really like the idea...
personally I'm leaning on making a cleric clone atm, well after all the testing for the [Cleric of Eilistraee] tag can be done.
I'm sure some people are probably running into problems, but I've been playing this class on patch 7 and haven't run into any issues, myself. I also have like 30 other mods, including 5e spells and such, with no issues. Might just be worth trying anyways?
Hey ! I posted on 07 April 2024 about a local version of the mod and why I couldn't release it to the public. Well good news ! I have received official permission from Gycicada to use his work and release my "updated" version of the mod. Be sure to thank him for that !
It's available here : https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12201
At the time I'm posting some of my files have been flagged and are being reviewed by a Nexus Mod Moderator, I can't really do anything about it sadly. If you want to download the Charisma version go to Archived Files, the Wisdom version should be ok to dowload directly. (Both archived and non-archived files have the exact same content but one is .rar and the other .zip, that's it)
I'm having an issue with this mod where any time an enemy uses silence on me it becomes permanent. Anyone know maybe why this would be happening? It only happens when I am playing this class. My mods are in the load order recommended by the author and are all up to date. The only way I found to fix it was to use the silence immunity mod. Not that big of a deal because a lot of enemies don't use it, but still annoying.
love the mod! one of my favorite subclasses and i love the theme! just one suggestion, it would be nice if you could split up elistraee's moonfire into separate cantrips so i can use Moonfire:Blade more easily with hotkeys! its a bit clunky to use a hotkey then have to move my mouse and click on Moonfire:Blade down in the hotbar. Thanks and keep it up!
@Gycicada I worked on making a standalone class version of this mod. It is fully functional and fixes some issues present in the mod you uploaded, but lacks a few icons for spells. Would you like me to send you the files ?
Changelog compared to original mod posted here : - Standalone class --> fixing the MAD issue. Easy to either make it fully Wisdom or Charisma based. - Blue Magic Missiles --> Custom spell uses base spell + blue visuals and icons made by Shivero with VFX Library + Icons mod. Flavour oriented - Fixed Divine Strike never trigerring --> It was missing the action resource needed - Fixed 'Divine Strike - Cold' and 'Divine Strike - Cold Critical' icons (using the ones provided in the base game). Flavour oriented - In-class implementation of Soothing Spring and Regenerate spells --> Removes dependency on 'PF2e Spells' - Added 'Dark Dancer' feature at level 6 - Moved 'Moonflare' to level 8 - Starting armor is now unenchanted drow leather armor + boots. No gloves.
Work in progress : - In-class implementation of 'Suggestion' --> Removes dependency to '5e Spells' mod - Will most likely remove Divine Strike, as Moonflare fills the same role and unlocks at the same level - Icons are missing for 'Evensong - Regenerate', 'Moonlit Stride' and 'Soothing Spring' --> Despite my best efforts I can't seen to generate anything that fits the other icons made by Gycicada for this mod. - 'Dancing Lights' is still learned by a Drow Tav on top of 'Eilistraee Moonfire' --> I'm working on fixing that - Making Moonbeam a trigger instead of always being on --> Still in progress - No dance VFX version --> Still in progress
EDIT : I have received several requests to share the files. I apologize but without Gycicada's permission I can't do so in good faith. My implementation of this class is heavily based on his original code. I only fixed a few interactions and added flavour. Until he allows me to, I will not be sharing them.
Hey, I was hoping to play this multi classed as a bard or paladin, so the wisdom scaling for Moonlit Blade is actually making me more MAD. Would you recommend playing on patch 1.1 or the current patch and just don't use Moonlit Blade?
I just installed this mod and made the class for the first time today, and I'm confused about Moonlit Sword. The notes for Patch 2.0.0 say that Moonlit Sword was changed from Charisma to Wisdom, but the tooltip in-game still shows it being based on Charisma. Anybody know which stat it scales with in the current patch?
I just started playing with this mod and it seems to be correctly scaling with Wisdom, just the text doesn't seem updated. Hovering over my attack bonus below my Longsword shows it's gaining +3 from my Wisdom.

I've been wanting to use this class in my next play through
