Are you going to convert this mod for mod.io? No, i'd have to completely rebuild the mod in the toolkit, which is time I am unwilling to spend on a hefty endeavour like that. I might change my mind if Larian creates a streamlined way to import third-party mods into the toolkit.
Why is Script Extender required? As of V1.3 it is no longer necessary for the wing textures, but is still necessary for the Hide Wings ability.
Can I remove the shimmer? See No Shimmer under Misc Files. Alternatively also available in KittHaven's Unique Tav Fairy Patch. They aren't interchangable versions so make sure you use the right one for your mod setup.
Can I request a CC patch for x? Yes, but I might decline the request or am unable to get permissions from the original author. You are not allowed to create CC patches for this mod without permission from me, but generally if you're an author looking to patch your mod yourself, I'm happy to give permission if you ask.
PLEASE read the CC Patches section on the main page before requesting anything as some mods are patched natively or by someone else!
Unique Tav support? See the patch made by KittHaven here!
Can you edit x spell/ability? No, I won't edit any of the spells/abilities nor will I make extra versions of this mod for that purpose. Sometimes a mod doesn't cater to your exact specifications, you either take it or leave it.
Can I add/edit x so it more closely fits my fairy's design? Yes. But only for personal use - this does not give permission for my assets to be used outside of this race! Please also be mindful that using any assets that you don't own might require permission first from the original authors, even if it's for personal use.
-- Please read the changelog for any additions/changes. Also please please please read the Issues/Bugs section before commenting about issues or reporting any bugs. Don't report duplicate bugs either, only one person needs to report it!
(The passive doesnt show up in your hotbar right away, you have to drag it in from the spell/ability menu.) -- Super huge thank you to SatanModding for setting this up!
v1.3.2: Due to the recent patch, ImpUI is no longer a requirement as the mod functions as-is without it now - if you still experience UI issues, make sure any UI mods you're using are updated for Patch 8 and otherwise make use of the new lite version of ImpUI. ImpUI is still required if you're playing on Patch 7.
I'm having a problem where Heart's heads work for body 1 and body 2 on other races, but not for body 2 on the fairy? I see the heads on body 2 when I select other races, and on body 1 fairy, so I am unsure why it wouldn't appear for the fairy body 2 unless it was a patch problem that I'm unsure how to fix.
Hello, I love the idea of having a fairy race but I encountered an issue where the hide/unhide wings option was present for some of my summoned monsters
Would you ever add the wings to other races or as an equippable underwear/cloak?
Signed, a wannabe Fairy Tiefling, because pink pointy creatures should be fairies too <3 They don't have to have all the animations, they could be static honestly and I wouldn't care. I'm just desperate for em. Especially the butterfly ones.
I was wondering if it would at all be possible to add additional races faces to the mod? as I'd love to create a fairy version of my character but she uses an elf face no a half elf
no problems if not, and thank you again for this mod
folks, if anything broke with the release of patch 8 I will need to hear it from you because I havent touched bg3 in ages nor do I want to update it unless I have to, thanks if nothing comes up its safe to assume the mod works fine with patch 8
It’s gonna be a few days before I have enough mods updated to try this. But I will. If it stops working and you don’t update it, all I’ll think is thanks for the fun til now :-)
Sorry to bother you, but yeah, with Patch 8 on, the character creator doesn't show the Fairy Race. However, the Hide Wings toggle is still visible with every race.
Also, I can't load my former safe file, but since it had other mods, it might be related to that.
It would be wonderful if you updated the mod to make it patch 8 compatible (craving for a Swashbuckler Fairy), but if you don't or can't I'd like to thank you still, finishing the game already as a fairy bard has been a blast.
you really shouldnt update your game in the middle of savegames if theyre modded, larian recommends starting a new savegame or staying on patch 7 if youre in the middle of a PT
I tested -only- Flutter & Whimsy (also all the stuff it requires) with a fresh BG3 install. It is important to note that ImpUI (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/366) is still required. You will want to move from the old ImpUI Patch 7 one to the ImpUI Patch 8 Slim.
I'm happy to report that Flutter & Whimsy works just fine with Patch 8!
If people are having issues where Fairy is not appearing as an option during character creation it's definitely an ImpUI issue. (Because ImpUI isn't actively maintained, I tried Flutter & Whimsy without it first just to see if Patch 8 UI modding changes would pick up the slack. They don't, and Fairy didn't appear. So that's when I tried with the ImpUI Patch 8 Mini and the issue was immediately resolved.)
The mod works for me, but the animations for the Star form archer doesn’t play for my character. The game also bugs when I try to equip something while tiny, making me unable to use the UI.
I can confirm the same happening with the circle of stars animations for me as well. The spells get cast / transformation gets done, but only after a slight delay.
But thank you a lot for making this mod! It's amazing and I love using it!
I put out a hotfix for the missing new subclass animations, but any other issue mentioned so far I could not recreate - the race shows up while not using impUI (if it fixes issues for you, by all means continue using it, but henceforth I will remove it as a requirement), and I can equip anything just fine when in tiny mode
