For some reason in my mod list, when I uninstall this mod it disables Inspiration gain & the ability to use them. The reroll button straight up won't show up in dialogue checks. Inspiration points also get capped at zero, setting any amount you had previously to zero as well. Attempting to gain any via gameplay or console commands doesn't work either. As when using a console command to gain points, the gained inspiration point text in the combat log does show up, just zero change in the actual game.
Furthermore it sets the short rest button to 0/0 with the two circles showing how many short rests you have left as greyed out/spent. Though you can still click on it and get the short rest as normal with the usual 2 charges available (it just won't show it visually).
Very strange, not entirely blaming on it this mod as I have a very large modlist so there might be another conflict out there. But I have isolated the issue to this mod specifically as reinstalling fixes the issue and uninstalling causes the issue to come back.
looks dope. what about balance? is it balanced around vanilla tactical or could be OP? i dont wanna play with mods increasing enemies XP (bullet sponges are not fun)
Balance is subjective, and really depends on how you play and build. All I can say is this mod makes them stronger than vanilla, but not OP, I've tried to keep things balanced and have less underwhelming powers which you never use.
minor quibble: when I use this mod with the no astral no prerequisites add on there's a dream vistor scene where she accuses me of not using the tadpoles.. but ... I'm totally using the tadpoles.
Interesting, I suppose it could happen if you don't have the starter power Illithid Persuasion. If that's the reason, it's not something I'm aiming to fix, first because it's almost inconsequential, and second because these files are cheats and not the recommended experience, I only provide them for convenience.
Both mods won't work together out of the box, they would need a patch. But this overhaul is hopefully rich, unique, and powerful enough so it's unnecessary to couple it with anything else about illithid powers gameplay-wise. It's much more in-depth, and is quite rewarding to learn and master.
Hey, it would be compatible in the sense that you would get the powers from that mod if you use those tadpoles, and the powers from this mod from the regular tadpoles and brain menu. If you mean "do Fake Tadpoles grant IPO's powers?", the answer is no.
I have been scouring Nexus and the internet for a mod that allows your full Illithid to return to human form. Because, the Emperior can do it (illusion or w/e), why can't Tav? I wanted to experience the full mindflayer arc but not be hideous 100% of the time. Half the time is a godsend! Can't wait to DL this. :) Thank you for making this mod!
Does anyone know if there are compatibility issues with mods that remove the half-illithid visual changes? I'm using Normal Half-Illithid by Cloweeee (link below) and just wanted to make sure that the changes in IPO2 wouldn't conflict with it or, even, add its own visual changes that would make NHI redundant. Hello! Recently, I've encountered a problem with “Luck of the Far Realms” not always triggering. After loading save or leveling up it indicates “Reaction is unavailable”. I've tried different loading order of this mod, but nothing helped :(
Any tips on how to fix this? Otherwise, the mod has been great and still is!
Hey! There is a toggleable passive that controls if the reaction is available or not, I made it so it's easier to control than to navigate to the reactions menu everytime. Toggled on means reaction is available.
As in vanilla, there is still a cooldown on it, if you already used it you need to rest. Also when you use it you get a malus to crit chance instead of a bonus when it's available. It's meant to really be used when clutch, and left unused the rest of the time.
I can confirm I'm having the same issue and no idea how to fix it after trying everything. Luck of the Far Realms is NEVER available no matter what the passive toggle is set to or how many rests you do regarding the cooldown. It's the same on a bunch of my characters I've unlocked the passive for - the toggles are all there fine, but the reaction is always showing an unavailable error and you can never use it. Have any others not experienced this?
It seems to work fine, maybe it was an issue of not performing an actual long rest. I've heard using the potion or EasyCheat doesn't replicate it perfectly, and in this case, aren't enough to refresh the ability.
Heya, about the mod requirements. Neither Better Various Widgets nor Better Character & Party Panels seems to available anymore. Noticed the description for BC&PP said it was a disabled feature anyways. Is it okay to just skip these two mods now? Thanks!
EDIT: Okay, so the page for Better Widgets loaded randomly. Nexus is being weird about whether or not some mods are actually available. EDIT2: Jesus, okay. So both mods are still available on Nexus via Google search. But clicking the actual links on the Nexus mod page results in "not found". Great. Sorry for taking up space, lol.
Hey, I have no trouble finding them in the search menu, so idk what's up here... Anyway, BCCP used to be a requirement for a cut feature, and BVW is recommended but optional. As stated in the requirements section.

The mod just adds duplicates of the vanilla Illithid powers to my knowledge.
