This mod isn't loading. I've tried your all-in-one mod and none of them load. However, if I load the individual files, everything loads except the cantrip. Icon library and VFX library are both updated. Any ideas? TIA!
I am aware and tried that one first. Nothing loaded from that mod, so I tried the individual files instead. Everything loads but the cantrips. And I've been searching the Ruins for the scroll and haven't found it. It's not in the tut chest, either despite having that mod loaded, too.
Please, what lines in the code do I have to edit to increase the damage, as in your other mods I just had to edit the line of code that had: "1d10" for example. This particular mod does not have that same code sequence for damage?
I absolutely love all of your mods and genuinely get really excited to see a new one on nexus! But i have a slight request, would you be able to create a chroma (specifically purple) version of the **Ashardalon's Stride** from the 5e Spells mod? :))
id absolutely love to become “HIM” and walk around while on colorful fire just damaging enemies
ive tried using the tutorial but i have to smooth of a pea brain to get it working 😭
I love all your mods, the colour, the damage and the smooth interactions. Though for some reason I've downloaded this mod, old and recent but the scroll isn't showing in my tutorial chest???
Here to report the same issue, I have the updates and the others work fine, I don't see how it could be a load order issue if the others are working, but I'm fiddling around to see if there is a solution load order wise.
Absolute chaos would be if this spell followed the eldritch blast progression. IE instead of more damage, more darts. Imagine hurling three darts (at 12th level), each of which could trigger up to two more darts? That'd be absolute chaos in terms of damage.
The image just popped into my head. It'd be absolutely broken, but absolutely hilarious. Now, if you wanted to do that seriously, reducing the die damage to compensate might make such a variant reasonable. Sorry for the crazy idea, but the image just popped into mind of a flurry of blue bolts flying everywhere and then bouncing all over the field. This would be followed by Gale looking at all of the dead bodies, "I don't know about you, but I'm a bit peckish, who's got the snacks?"
Though on a serious note, I'm assuming the cantrip works like this. First bolt triggers the second bolt (when conditions are met of course). The second bolt, following the same rules, triggers a third bolt, and that's it. Each bolt of course makes its own attack roll.
Not sure if possible, but damage wise that could be raunchy unless it was changed to 2nd and 3rd bolt are only 1d10 instead of scaled. It'd still be a bump in damage for a crit, but imagine all three bolts triggering & hitting at 12th level. That'd be 3d10 (crit) + 3d10(crit) + 3d10. Now 3d10 (crit) + 1d10 (crit) + 1d10 (don't matter) would be stronger than a normal cantrip, but only conditionally, ergo, not quite as insane.
Wenn unfortunately they only count the first attack roll, which auto determines that 2 more Projectile about to come. That was the reason why I just limited the Projectiles
The first part was obviously just a pure silly image that popped into my head. Just the image of darts flying all around the field killing everyone. Then I though about actual logical balance. Still, the damage at level 12 may be a bit unbalanced. Not sure how to balance around that when you consider that crits are like a fraction of the time. Awesome when they happen, but rare. In short, love the idea, just not sure how balanced the spell is as a result of that.
As to number of projectiles, the damage would end up roughly the same. IE 3 projectiles of 1d10 vs 1 projectile of 3d10. The only real difference there would be feats or the like that add damage. IE the single bolt would only have damage added once while the multiple bolts would have damage added multiple times.
Of course any time you build spells around crits balance tends to get kind of skewed anyway.
Love your work of course, just had to provide some (from my view) balancing thoughts. And of course a part of me is now pondering an oddball spell. First target takes damage + AoE, then it bounces to two nearby targets, dropping another AoE on both targets. Ie say something like ...
Primary Target and all targets around take 1d4(scaled) damage, then it bounces to two nearby targets, each suffering scaled damage in the same aoe but a lot less damage(say 1 point scaled, ie 1, 2 or 3).
Not sure if that'd be a nightmare to code or could be done as a variation on your chromadarts spell. Just one of those crazy ideas for a spell.
First off I need to work the projects I already have in my head before adding another Cantrip but yea a ricochet Mechanic I have already sort of done on my Legendary Equipment at the siphon cloak
Would you be willing to edit the description if someone offered to fix the grammar and wording to match Larian's format? Genuinely asking because I'd be willing to do this 😅
I think it's more like the skill desc a little bit confusing. It took me a bit of time to understand it.
This is the desc from the scroll "Hurl out a Chromadart, if it lands a Critical Hit or Kills an Entity or you suffering from its Element, you will emit one more Projectile. Maximum of 2 Additional Projectiles per initial one"
I was confused when i read "or you suffering from its element" cuz from what i read the 1st time i thought it'll give me, the player, the element debuff for casting the spell. But then it should've be when i'm debuffed i got the chance to emit one more projectile. This is just a suggestion from me, not that i'm a native speaker but maybe this one is less confusing, just a minor additions.
"Hurl out a Chromadart, if it lands a Critical Hit, Kills an Entity, or when (you're suffering / you suffer) from its Element (debuff??), you will emit one more Projectile. Maximum of 2 Additional Projectiles per initial one (idk this one cuz it might be per cast or per initial projectile?)"
This is what i could think of and also idk what's Larian format of writing the desc. Btw thx for the mod i really enjoy it. Definitely gonna mix it with Wild Magic Durge in honor mode.

Jokes aside thx so much i love all your chromatic mods lol
