eyelashes seem to flicker between the chosen colour and black on a few heads, has anyone else encountered this + is it some kind of graphic setting that causes it?
for sure! it only occurs on a few modded heads, I commented cuz I was hoping it was just some graphic setting or mod order issue that someone could let me know about. It's occuring with pseudokociara's "new cc head presets vol. 2," and I know a few people have had the same issue with the faces of faerun mod. I chalked it up to being a custom head issue, but the author of faces of faerun said the issue wasn't occurring for them, so I'm not so sure. The lashes look normal when the character is standing still, and begin to flash after they blink. The second link appears to be broken, but I think I know what you mean - that's something I've noticed occasionally as well, particularly with modded heads (although certain vanilla heads do this as well). I do think this is related to the way the eye area and lashes are modeled, and how particularly shadows are applied to them; it's more obvious with lighter lash colors. I don't think there's much that can be done about it unfortunately since, in my opinion, it's likely simply a result of there not being light eyelashes in Vanilla and thus, it's not obvious that they do flicker even with darker shades. I've never noticed this happening much in-game, though, only in CC, so perhaps it's fine once you leave CC?
true, it is much less noticeable. It happens the same amount in normal gameplay, i can see it when I zoom in on my characters face, but it doesn't seem to happen so much in cutscenes. I've noticed it once or twice in cutscenes, particularly in the prologue when you first wake up, but not nearly as often. I think your shadow theory is right, it would explain why it only flashes in certain instances and is totally fine in others. Thank you for replying! I really wanted to make sure this wasn't some silly user error of mine, so this has put me at ease :)
would it be possible to do a replacement color mod? it would be nice to live in a world where all the npc's brows and/or lashes matched their hair, but i feel like that even just sounds like a ton of work so i get if that is too much
Yes, that's definitely possible. I chose not to do this in this case as to not mess with people's characters too much as that change would also change Tav's appearance, if you're using a vanilla hair color. But perhaps in the future I can add an optional update for that.
Seconded. Love this mod, hate the vanilla mismatched hair and eyelash/eyebrow colours. A way to go about this would be to replace the vanilla colours with the matching ones from this mod, then add the dark eyelash/eyebrow variants as options. That way, they still exist for players that want them but the NPCs still get fixed.

I really love most of this mod, but the one thing I'm not a huge fan of is the darkening of the eyebrows in the vanilla swatches. Astarion and Minthara suddenly have eyebrows that don't match their hair color, and the light brow variants that come with this mod are too vibrant and bright. I kind of want an option for the vanilla brows back
The hairstyle that character uses allows for that kind of look by default, though I believe that's the only vanilla hairstyle that supports it. The highlight color you choose is applied to half of the hair, and the other half stays the "main" hair color. :)
genuine question (and I apologise if it comes across as passive aggressive but I can't think of how else to phrase it) how is this different to your Hair Colour Supplement mod? I already have that one. should I replace it with this one or is that one still fine to use?
My other hair color mod adds entirely new colors I created. This one takes existing vanilla hair colors (which are by default colors with dark brows and lashes) and adds 3 further variants to them to provide more options for customization. There's no overlap between this mod and my other hair color mod - the only similarity is that both give you the option to choose hair colors with matching brows and/or lashes if you'd like (which isn't possible in vanilla). They're absolutely fine to use simultaneously if you'd like!
