Hi! I noticed that the one option I want to use the most, i.e. Duster Braids, is brighter than the actual hair since it doesn't seem to be affected by the Highlights slider. Any way to make it work together?
Sorry for the late reply, I don't remember ever getting a notification for this comment ._.
I originally wasn't sure why there was a color discrepancy between some hair extensions & regular hairs, but now that you mention it I'm wondering if it might have to do with vertex colors (which determine where & how strongly highlights show up, among other things). I'll try to see what I can do about it.
Okay so the Duster hair is just lighter than most other vanilla hairs (and the braids don't have highlights in the original hairstyle, but I will probably go ahead & add highlights to the hair extension). The various vanilla hairs have different textures that determine how colors look on them, so the Duster hair (and thus the Duster Braids) happen to use a brighter texture.
As far as I know, it's not currently possible to have the texture on the extensions change to match whatever regular hair you pair it with (and even it if were possible, there's no guarantee it would even look good in ever case for various reasons).
Aww, that's a shame. It's pretty difficult to pair it with other hairstyles since it usually sticks out quite a lot. Oh well, thanks for looking into it—much appreciated!
