Awesome mod. The default spears in the game are very lackluster and I love the new options here and the custom models!
Is there any way to get proficiency in the battle spears on a monk without multiclassing?
I tried using the Weapon Master feat, but spears is already selected. I picked pikes, tridents, halberds and glaives in case one of those overlapped, but no such luck. The character I specifically downloaded the mod for is my spear-using elven shadow monk. I've got her using the spellweaver now and it's great for a monk since it adds to the stunning fist DC, it would just be cool to use some of the other spears when I find them later.
Because the game behave weird when you have an extra reach weapon and an offhand weapon ( basically because attacks just look at your main hand weapon range)
I have 28 mods in my list. BG3MM says this mod is installed. I put this mod in every possible slot (1-28) with tutorial chest either before and after it ach time. Total of 56 tries, 2 in every slot and could not the weapons to appear. Tested to see if they were in game each time by checking the windmill basement chest.
Would love to use this mod just cant get it to work
Loot in the game is set the first time an area load, generally speaking (there is some places that load apart) if you are installing the mod on a save already on act I you won't find items until act II
Easy way to test the mod is just install, take a long rest and check with damon to see if he have the elven common spear for sale, as traders restock after each long rest not on area load like loot.
Either way, loot work, is it isn't appearing for you, you have a mod overwriting base game tresaure lists, like rel or similar.
Spears have been my favorite weapon type for a very long time The new models are even more beautiful in-game They are a fantastic combination with Barbarian Armory
Hi! I love your work and downloaded a couple of your mods! Do you have any plans to add tridents? I'm not a fan that some of the best tridents are locked towards the middle- end of act 3. And there don't seem to be any mods for tridents that don't have an irremovable glow effect.
question will you do any staves or sorcerer type mods? already love your mods and their quite balanced as well, doesn't make things too easy or too hard
I don't think I'll do a mod just for staves in particular, though I'll probably add more with another caster set if I'll do any. Sorcerer maybe something in the future but can't tell when.
Probably it's a nexus error as it often fail to build it properly, but according to your download history of the mod you don't have the tutorial chest file.
If that's not the case and it's a nexus error, the other thing is play with load order. If you have any mod that affect loot or tutorial chest like REL and similar, items mod should be after them on load order.
Well, I just made a fool of myself XDD... I forgot there could be additions file to tutorial chest, I thought it would be in main mod. Sorry and thanks for replying.
No, if you have the tutorial chest file, you are fine there's no update on it only on the main mod. (the tutorial chest "updates automatically" as it pick up the info from the main file)
It just that nexus says that you don't have it, but as I said it often doesn't show that correctly... so is likely something to do with load order
EDIT: Just checked to be sure as I don't usually have tutorial chest files installed, and it's working fine for me
Question: Is there any way you could give all spears "Battle Ready" it feels very Thematic and i would love to use it with my shadowhearts spear of night
Adding it directly is a bit tedious, it's a "unlockspell" for the boost line, most weapons change that line from the base spear so it will require to edit almost everyone. It will also be very unlikely to work with modded spears for the same reason.
It will be easier to just add an oil for unlocking it to my oils mod. I'll keep it in mind for when updating it.
But messing with races progressions is not something I want to do, to many races out there, too many edits on vanilla races... it creates an incompatibility world.
But if someone is willing to make a race mod/ race edit and use my ability on it, sure I don't care at all.
I love these weapons, especially with the Overhaul mods by VitruvianGuar!
It feels more fair the way he rebalances equipment and with the block reaction he added to shields, you get more than just a boring extra attack of opportunity with the defensive stance of the elven spear, but can mix it up instead with 2 op attacks, 2 blocks or a blot and an op attack, meaning attackers can no longer trick you into wasting your reaction on a block by melee attacking you and then running away cause you are out of reactions.
The fact that AI often does that, at least on tactician, makes me wonder if it's more than just a quinkidink and it's how Larian originally intended defense to work before dumbing it all down.

Update 2.0:
-Text improved. Big thanks to aceofpie for it!
-Several minor code improvements and fixes.
-Heavy on pikes now adds disadvantage penalty, in line with heavy in other of my mods.
-All spears gain Extra Reach and Can't Dual Wield.
-Battle Spears lose Throw.
-Reforged Elven Spear is a Battle Spear now and use old Sliver of the Blazing Dawn model.
-Unique new custom models for all unique spears (see Screenshots).
-Update optional file for remove stances VFX. Changes are just for some code revision, old version should still work fine if you don't want to update.

And because double handed spears just seems silly

I have no plans for it at the moment, wich doesn't mean I may not make some in the future or drop one or two on a fitting mod.
