About this mod

This mod replaces the maiden painting with a portrait of Grand Duke Abdel Adrian. The Bhaalspwan and Hero from BG 1&2.

Permissions and credits
First of all some credits:

I would like to mention, that I used dreams897 textures from their excellent mod, named High Quality Paintings and Portraits. Please go ahead and endorse their mod.

And of course the legend Mike Sass (the artist). Fun Fact: He used a picture of himself as a template, when he created the original picture for BG1:

But bear in mind, I use a altered version here, sadly I don't know who the artist is.

What this mod does:

This mod replaces the maiden painting with a portrait of Grand Duke Abdel Adrian. The Bhaalspwan and Hero from BG 1&2. The portraits placement is perfect. There is one on display at the painting stand/shop at Wyrms Crossing and there will be a portrait displayed prominently in Golbraith Stredivas house, which fits perfectly.

Its the portrait I use in my Pn'P campaigns and in my BG 1&2 playthroughs, my headcanon if you so will (I dont consider the novels canon, only my PC Game playthrough and the PnP Module "Murder in Baldurs Gate" I ran for my players).
And I don't consider the looks /aesthetic of Abdel Adrian from the PnP Module canon either:

NO THANK YOU ;)

Its a altered version of the BG1&2's generic human fighter portrait, it is depicting a older version of Abdel Adrian, after his adventures. From the time, when he was Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate.
This portrait was painted a few tendays before he dies, in the events of the D&D module "Murder in Baldurs Gate".
The last Portrait made of the beloved Grand Duke:

This mod is obviously not for everyone, but people like me, who used this avatar in BG 1&2 will definitely enjoy it.

I don't know how to rename items and asset yet, so the painting is still called "elven noble" or "the maiden". I will update this mod as soon as I manage to change that, for full immersion sake.

I managed to rename the display name and the description of the items using the BG3 Toolkit, thank you Larian. You guys are the best!
I would also like to thank the "BG3 Modding" Discord server, I highly recommend joining. The people there are amazing:

All that's left to do is, to create an proper icon for the inventory screen.

Buy me a coffee: Thank You! ❤️🙏
