when i switch back to my previous ring it doesnt let me keep the lvl 6 spell slot, i just wish there was a mod that made a potion of arcane cultivation that gives a lvl 6 spell slot it would be so much simpler, i checked both this site and mod.io but theres none of those, maybe you could make it?

And... I have a question. Is this mod not compatible with 'Standalone Vanilla Armours'? The Ring of Stars seems to display the item description of the Star Athlete's Ring from 'Standalone Vanilla Armours'.
I don't think they are compatible but haven't tested. I would guess thats because they both share the same template from "sample magic ring mod" and its indeed the reason why i kept the word star in its name. It shouldn't crash your game, but whatever mod is loaded last gets the right output i guess. So i would think aslong as this mod is at the end of load order, in the worst case is the ring from standalon vanilla armors gets overwritten with this one.
*edit* just read the description of the modpage from standalone vanilla armors and the author even states in his first sentence that he used the same template from the same source as me. So description of your ring should be decided by load order.
Unfortunatly I don't realy know what I'am doing while editing mod files, trying to get stuff to my liking and I dont know how I can create Items from scratch with unique UID etc. It seems like the author of standalone vanilla armors has the same problem. Its way more easy editing existing stuff, than building from scratch. Just doing this stuff for my own playthrough and thought I'm gonna upload it because all the other solutions for my described problem where not satisfying to me.
*edit2 ok, because my brian sucks i couldn't let it go and just messed around a bit and read a little about how unique handles and UIDs work in bg3 modfiles so that you can generate a new item/ fresh template. Doesn't seem to hard. If you say the mods are not compatible maybe i will give it a try tomorow but would be nice if you could confirm if they realy aren't compatible first. My vacation ends on sunday and i wanted to actualy play the game in that little time left ;)

As you mentioned, the issue arises from using the same handles and UUIDs. So I unpacked your Mod and made some edits (hope you don’t mind). After editing 2 unique handles and 1 UUID, the issue was resolved.
- Also, would you consider changing the ICON and Rarity? I believe a powerful magic ring like this deserves a shiny golden panel :)

Which merchant is supposed to have it? I checked every merchant at the grove and none had the ring. I tried with both versions of the ring (not at the same time). I don't want to start a new play through to get back to the tutorial chest.
Its trader Arron on the entrance before the training area and the strange ox. To reset inventory of Arron you have to long rest befor aproaching him. Otherwise you can use Summon Tutorial Chest Mod. I personaly use the No Hide version. If you use the Spell the Tutorial Chest will be added into your inventory for 5 or 10 turns. Simply open it, grab out the ring (or any other modded item using the chest) and wait a few seconds until it despawns from your inventory. Voila
i could have made it usable, but its purpose is "cheating enough" for my taste and for what i'm using it for in my playthrough. I could upload a version where it is not deactivated if realy needed, but i thought there are enough other mods simply adding spellslots.
