Below the Trips Shader dependency but above any mod that requires it. Recommendation is high in the load order but below the core mods, frameworks, and libraries.
I don't know if it is a new shader issue or some problem on my part but using this mod, or any that changes shaders, like the one for companions, body textures work great but there is a visible seam between the body and private parts on elves, drow, humans and half elves. Does anyone have the same problem or is it normal?
I'm also having this issue, I removed all shader mods to check and even loaded my game after deleting all of my generated folder and the issue is there. lmk if you figure out what's causing it!
It seems to be a texture issue. I had to manually replace the groin area in all body textures and now the seam problem is completely gone with this mod, Companions - Old Shaders and even Unique Tav. I don't know why because as i said i tried both my own custom textures and 'Player and NPC - Old Shaders (Original Textures)' from this mod and problem persisted, even though other people didn't have it to begin with. I tested it a moment ago, editing Gale's textures and it did fix the seam. Modding games is weird like that
Ah I see, so what should I do? I'm not really a modder so idk how to make custom textures to fix the seam. It's not a big problem but it bothers me a lil bit knowing it's there lol
I could share my textures to see if it even works for you or maybe a psd file with the edit to paste on your textures if you have photoshop. Otherwise i don't know
I didn't know where else to update you on it so I'll just do it here, but I tried using your textures and it did not work. I tried it multiple times with different file setups and the issue persists. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but what combo of textures are you using? Are you using the Player shaders along with the Companions? Thank you so much for the help though and for uploading the files, you're great!
I am sorry, i tested it with this mod and it worked for me, so i have no other idea what may be the reason for this. I thought it may be a mod conflict but yesterday i tested Astarion, textures from 'Companions - Old Shaders', issue was there, i edited the groin in the textures and it is gone. Currently i am not using player and npc shaders, only companions for Astarion and Gale, i switched to using Unique Tav for my character. Although i do have to choose another mesh, not the default one for the seam to disappear, default still has it EDIT: Ok so on extreme closeup i see that the seam is still there just much less noticeable (mostly on the sides) but here is a comparison of how it looks for me https://i.imgur.com/1FJPTMa.png (sfw, nothing is shown, only seam line) EDIT2: Ignore everything i said earlier, some more extensive testing and photo mode close ups confirm that it is indeed not fixed, when turned around or in different lightning it still is wrong, less visible but still there
Ahh! Okay, so you seem to have the same issue as me. Maybe it's just not even a mod issue? Because the same thing happened to me, the issue gets worse with the companions shaders installed, but without it it's less noticeable. I have removed everything including trip's shaders and all of my generated folder and the issue is there. Not as bad, but there. I'm gonna chalk it up to a game issue and ignore it I guess
Does this still work? Need this for Masc Tiefling Body Edits but I'm worried about having to overwrite loose files and then having to reinstall the game if it doesn't since the pak doesn't seem to based off comments.
So I'm at a loss here. I've installed this mod properly in the past but I'm now having trouble. I have everyone else showing correctly but Half-Orc female bodies are black. When I uninstall this it fixes. I've tried both the .pak and the loose files of part 2 and every time it shows the black body on just Half-Orc female bodies and I have no idea why or how to fix it. I have trip's shader installed and unique tav as well. I'm using the mod.io version of community library and think I need to try to use the nexus version but will have to wait until I get home from work to try it. Any input would be greatly appreciated from anyone.
Edit: I've also tried removing unique tav and that didn't do anything.
Is there a plan for an update, because after a lot of testing and seeing what mod breaks my game after patch 7, this seems to be the case. I am using the Astarion part of the mod especially, because I need it for the texture mod Freaky Friday. But I tested it out already without this mod here it works, if I re-enable this mod I get a weird pop-up box when I try to exit
its linked to mod fixer being broken with the patch. anything that has mod fixer as a requirement is broken and will not be usable. loose file version should still work.
After some testing I have determined this is unrelated to any mods and seems to only affect Type 1 Human characters. I tested this on a modded and unmodded game.
No other race or body type has this issue. Seems to be brought about by Patch 6.
I had to uninstall this mod, Companions - Old Shaders, and trip's shaders because it was causing issues with patch 7. I read that Trip is planning to update their shader pack for patch 7.
I had to remove this mod since it depended on having Trip's so idk if there would be issues with it and patch 7 once trip updates his shaders, but is there any possibility this mod can be updated for patch 7 if it needs to be?
idk why I deleted all texture mods and tried reinstalling these but my male gnomes are hairless and their genitals have a square shape around the area.
