Why?

Honour difficulty presents itself as a more difficult version of tactician. Not only you are limited to a single save file, but it also introduces a new mechanic - Legendary Actions, as well as number of balance changes that aim to make the game more balanced. In particular, Honour aims to fix, or at least nerf, the infamous Damage Rider Source damage mechanic. Personally, I liked the changes quite a lot, new legendary actions in particular. However, the problem is, all of that is attached to the single save file feature of Honour, which I personally dislike. To this end, I made this mod.


What?

What this mode does is simple. It moves all the "extra" features of Honour difficulty to the base game. They will be available in any difficulty, though this mod is intended for Tactician. With it, the only difference between Honour and Tactician will be single save limit.

Keep in mind that this mod does not contain any Tactician changes in it. While made with Tactician in mind, you can play with it on any difficulty, be it Balanced, Tactician or Custom.

Another thing: legendary actions from Honour difficulty are implemented as passives in the game. So, if you run any mods that change enemies, the legendary action passives may not be present.

Almost all of the changes are bundled within the main mod. But there's also a small optional add-on - Honour's treasure tables. It appears that Honour also makes slight changes to item drops in the game. The changes seem to be largely related to alchemy reagents. Not entirely sure what the changes are, but I presume that you either find less of them, or at higher levels than normal. That particular change I decided to make optional.

Another small extra mod is Honour Nerfs Reversal. It reverts the nerfs honour mode makes to everything Extra Attack and Haste related. It can also be used without the main mod if you're playing on honour difficulty.


Installation & Requirements

This mod requires Mod Fixer and Script Extender. Otherwise, install it as normal with your mod manager (I recommend BG3MM).

Warning: do NOT use this mod while playing on Honour difficulty. It does not introduce anything that you won't find in it. Additionally, the way Honour scripts interact with script extender is a little odd. So, while this mod does have checks for whether you're playing on Honour, I suggest not to put them to the test.

Q: What difficulties does this mod work on?
A: Any besides Honour. So on Balanced, Tactician, Custom, even Story.

Q: Can I install it on existing saves?
A: Yes.


Q: It no work.
A: Legendary actions are given to certain enemies in the form of passives. If the enemy does not have a passive, it is likely overridden by some other mod that changes enemies. As a stopgap solution, you can load this mod after other mods.

A: Read the second to last paragraph of the "What" section.
