Announcements Version 1.2.3: Good news, I transfered a lot of the SE scripting to Osiris. This means those scripts work even when you don't have SE installed.
Things that were formerly SE and are now Osiris:
Gaining the spell to summon the chest
Weightless status being added to items in the chest
Dye and Alchemy chest items stacks being set to 20
10.000 Gold in the Tutorial Chest
Things that still require SE:
Quiver, Camp Clothing and Scroll chest dynamically generating items (will be empty without SE, but you can still use them for sorting automatically)
Duplication Chest (everything related to it)
New entirely:
Osiris script wont add the spell to summons anymore, just normal player characters
Osiris script will actively remove the spell from summons if it was added to them by the previous versions
Version 1.2.1: SE is now required. Patch 8 is the final patch, so it is very unlikely SE will break again. This opens up new possibilities and allows me to dynamically add the spell to characters, without relying on weird work-around methods that cause compatibility issues.
The Camp Clothing Chest dynamically creates every camp clothing in the game (thiswas the change I couldn't remember) - this caused issues, so I limited the number of items it can create to 145 (thats all vanilla items minus the two debtors items from the house of hope). Since these should be created "in order" this should always be vanilla items. Either way, it will help with some issues people had.
Version 1.2.0: I was sitting on an update for this mod for a long time. Since some things weren't working well, I didn't upload it. Unfortunately I now don't quite remember what exactly I changed from the latest version. Mainly the weapon/armor chests don't sort any longer (sorry). But there is also a bunch of things that should work properly now that didn't before, plus it appears to work fine in patch 8.
Ive been having this same issue, while this mod is nice it seems unable to actually summon all the items depending on how the other modder packaged their stuff in the chest. I just had to switch to one of the other tutorial chest summon mods :/
Is this at all possible without the BG3ModManager? Ive been running into some issues with external mod loaders, they cause an issue which prevents me from loading the game. The in game Mod Manager works just fine, but it doesn't work with vortex or bg3MM.
if youre signed into your larian account in the in-game mod manager, try signing out and see if that fixes it. when patch 7 first dropped i had the exact same issue where the game mm wouldnt work with bg3mm, i couldnt enter any save without constant warnings. when i signed out of my larian acount in game the mod managers started working perfectly fine seperately
There is a feeling that 10000 gold can cause 5-12 sec. freezes when the chest is spawned in case there will be enough (20+) mod chests. Also, I tried to interact with these 10000 gold before, and my game just crashed, so I haven't touched it ever since.
Is it possible to lower the amount to 5000 or 2000 to slightly boost the performance (for less powerful PC) when spawning, please?
the newest version doesn't seem to be adding anything to the weapon and armour chests, i've tried moving load order positions etc.... the old version works as it should
Technically yeah, but those are very niche use for most people. And no, I absolutely will not do a version like that. Its already tedious enough to replace the spell every time I update the tiniest thing in the mod, for the inventory version. I'm not gonna double that to 4 versions to upload. If you don't want the stuff, just move them out of the container, take the empty container, let the chest despawn.
So, I'm not sure what might have happened, but I no longer see the options to duplicate items or any other additional features from the mod. Also, almost no items are showing up in the chest, only three items are appearing, and I have some item mods installed. I've had SE installed from the beginning, so I'm a bit lost about this.
Will this work with https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/8295 (Item Shipment Framework)? I like the ability to sort things from your mod. I also like/need the functionality that keeps a permanent tutorial chest in ISF. I prefer the pseudo immersion of using the ISF chest in camp. Thanks
Sooooooo i learned that the Author of the SE removed the mod. does anyone know of any other possible SE? I just installed the mod and found out this morning
I will redo it in the toolkit where I can osiris script it, and then SE will probably only be needed for some advanced features. Unless I can transfer them to Osiris too.
This is stupidly specific, but in my refusal to work for my potions, after quadruple-checking the Alchemy Chest I noticed that it doesn't spawn a Mind Reading Potion.
The definition of a minor issue, really, but I thought I should let you know :') Thank you for your hard work either way <3
