If you want all four color options, use the main file, and none of the individual files. If you did accidentally use the individual files along with the four-in-one file, it's probably not going to cause any errors. But it would be redundant code.
The latest update corrects the color-balance of the black. A very slight (5% over R & B) green tint is intended, to correct for in-game lighting and environments. But in the original version, I did the math wrong and set the green tint higher (50% over R & B) than intended.
Bear in mind that all three colors combined make up just shy of a 1% total tint. So "50% more green" probably sounds a lot more noticeable than it actually was. Either way, all 5 files have been corrected.
black is too black (dark). maybe an option similar to this - https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1177 and all the paints in a separate chest...
Monitor settings can play a big part in how the color Black (or "shade", or "absence of color", if you prefer) displays. I could not possibly account for everyone's tastes and settings. Most feedback seems to suggest that it's just fine as it is. You're of course welcome to not use the mod, if you prefer another.
As for putting them in a custom container, that's just more code; that I didn't feel the need to sink time into. The game is littered with packs, pouches and trunks. If you want the dyes placed in a container, then by all mean place them in one.
I should probably learn how to do this. Especially considering future mods I have in mind will require doing so anyway.
But I did also think that most people would just pick the gem-color they wanted and grab only that one. So as to generate less clutter in the merchants already swollen inventory.
Just FYI, I did bundle these four dyes. If anyone would rather use that file, they need to remove any of the individual dyes. I hope this is easily understood. :)
It seems to be working now. I tested the bundled file before there was an issue. Then I started working on another dye mod, and thought something was bugging while trying to test that one. But it turns out I just had some errors in the naming of its directory structure (that'll teach me to get complacent when copy/paste-ing from my existing mods xD). Once that was cleared up, all mods loaded just fine.
I was wondering (just a question, please don't take it as a demand or anything bad) if it was possible to add variations making the black parts gold and/or silver? I really love the coloured gems but I haven't found any other mods that do coloured gems with gold or silver as the main colours. Or, if there's a tutorial you could share/link me to so that I can create them myself? I've never modded anything before so I'm not sure where to start.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to help make this game a little more enjoyable to play
I could certainly try. Assuming you're referring to the metal parts of armor..? The thing is, a dye can't effect how shiny metal appears. That data is stored in either the meshes or the textures (it can be either or both). So I can make these same dyes with silver/gold colored metal, but whether that ends up looking right or not kind of depends on the armor it's applied to. Also, gems use the "Accent_Color" color-channel, which many armors also use for their trimming. For example, if you use any of these on +1 Leather, it will turn the armor black, but with primary colored trimming. So, there are a lot of variables in play, when it comes to getting precisely the look you're going for.
There is a guide. I highly recommend it. But, while following it, I also recommend unpacking a mod that adds a single dye (like my Villainous Black Dye mod), so you have a "known-good" to also refer to, as you work your way through the instructions. I did this while learning to make dye mods and it was a huge help to me.

If you like them, be sure to check out the other dye mods I've released: Kith'rak's Dye and Villainous Black Dye.

Atm even mods that shouldn't affect a save will still prevent it from loading even when you agree to load with mods missing 😔

Yes, I was.
