It's on my to-do list but between my work, studies, other priorities and a tendinitis flaring up, I haven't had the time to work on it.

hope these can become standalone soon. assuming the new tools can actually enable that.

I have no plans to port this to the toolkit, mostly because I have no time or interest to port 40+ (80+ with the UTAV versions) files anywhere at this time. Not sure what you mean by standalone, though; you don't need other mods or even a mod manager to run these so they are standalone in that sense at least.

First, you have to choose 1 file only. Unfortunately, they will override each other if you try to install them all.

For the Unique Tav Versions: here is the path: Drop the folders in here & they will merge.

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data

For the vanilla replacers: Here is the path: Just drop them there & they will merge

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated

FYI: These instructions are for the pre 7 Patch. From what I can see the folders have changed since yesterday's update.

They're the same mod but Unique Tav versons are compatible with the Unique Tav mod for those who need it. If you're not running that mod, you just need the regular, non UTAV version.

Heyyy!!! :) These tattoos are great, but have you ever considered making a smaller Ilmater tattoo? I'm playing a bard that worships Ilmater and the Blazer of Benevolence's collar covers part of the tattoo. I know these tattoos were designed for clerics and obviously didn't take bard armor into account, but a smaller tattoo would still be really nice. No pressure though, just curious!

I don't use that mod so I have no first hand knowledge, but I'm told the comments for it have the instructions for how to install tattoos. Basically you just need to replace the tattoo file of that mod with the one from this.

Hey, first of all, Kudos for still montoring here. I've been testing the Mystraq Tatoo for a bit now. The Tattoos stretch and move at times, as i happens with real tattoos also. I speak from experience with my 3 IRL tattoos.

Since this mod didn't get any User Images yet, i uplaoded one. I hope you like, thank you for this thoughtful nice mod. <3

Yeah the stretching is something I can do nothing about since the tattoos move with the head. There might be some magical 'place tattoo here for it to be still' spot but I haven't found it yet lol.

And thank you for the image!!

Yeah, like said. I have tattoos in real life and they also stretch depending how I move. So that’s no problem. :)

hey so im doing a bhaal blood cleric, bard build with no instrument with the idea being that im a fallen aasimar whos wings arent skeletal but instead a deep black leading into crimson red who uses shadow and blood to attack and control my enemies while i find myself under the infulence of bhaal without my knowledge and i was wondering if you could make maybe for the more F'd up gods LIKE bhall, a version where instead of a tattoo its instead a scar as the influence of the god drove you to carve its symbol into yourself against your will.

So I can mod scars, and I have considered doing some scar mods I'd share here, but that's an involved process I don't currently have the time for. Scars aren't like tattoos; you can't just draw a shape and slap it on the correct file. You have to deal with normal maps and such with those, and getting them to look good can be a bit more tricky.

This is absolutely wonderful! Thank you! I've been meaning to make a Jergal cleric and now I have even more reason to haha.
Is there a chance of adding different spots or versions of it?
I'm glad to see someone requested the Oak Father already, perhaps Melora (Wildmother) too?

    Either way, this is great!

I'm probably not going to make another Jergal because it's tricky to get to work in different placements due to it stretching and glitching so easily. And I'm not adding anything that's not prominently present in the game. Silvanus is the last one I'll be adding, and after that I won't be adding new deities because then I'd have to hunt down symbol designs and re-design them to be tattoos that work in single color and fit the overall design of the other symbols in this game, and it's quite time consuming, so I do have to stop somewhere.

Ah! Thank you for the reply!
It's all good, it was more out of curiosity and not knowing the intricacies of modding (aside from being a lot of work).

I get that loose file mods can be intimidating but they're actually really easy. You just need to know where your game files are (SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3 if you got the game from steam), and drop the generated folder of the mod into the data folder in the game files. The generated folder of this mod is always in the ver.x folder.

The thing with loose files is that you can't have more than one of them modify the same thing, so you can't have two tattoo mods or two scar mods etc. They replace the same vanilla file and they override each other, so you have to pick one. The good thing about loose files is that if you want to have two different tattoos for example on two different play throughs, you don't need to close the game to swap the files out (another reason why I copy instead of drag lol). Also, this mod will not work with stuff like unique tav unless you place this mod in the files of that mod. So if you're using that mod you could be doing everything right and you wouldn't get this mod to show up, because that mod doesn't use the vanilla file this alters, it has its own tattoo file to pull from. Even with .pak mods, you need to be aware of how your mods are interacting to avoid conflicts.
