The Export tool is necessary to convert your .xml file into a .loca file.
Place the English folder containing the .loca file (found in Upackdata/xCustomBackstory/Localization) into your local Baldur's Gate 3 folder.
This mod is not compatible with other Dialog mods.
FAQ:
Where is the Program/.exe file?
-It's in the dist folder.
Why is there a Python file called app.py?
-It's a non-executable version of the app. You can edit the meta-prompts and use this version if you are familiar with Python.
-To use it, delete the .exe file and place the Python file called app.py into the dist folder, then run it.
How do I get my output to look like a specific style?
-While nothing can be guaranteed, here are some
-best practices:
--Use affordances, provide sentence or word choice examples, avoid negative examples, and structure how you present your input to the model.
How much will this cost?
-The cost depends on the amount of information you input about your character.
-There is variability, but a GPT-4-Turbo run on Act 1 is approximately $25, GPT-3.5-Turbo is about $2.50, and GPT-4 is around $75.
How does quality vary?
-GPT-3.5-Turbo is relatively basic several mistakes or bland outputs, GPT-4-Turbo is very good for most purposes though a few errors may occur, and GPT-4 is nearly perfect.
I don't like a line the model made.
-You can edit the line in the generated excel file or on the results review screen
--Edits in the results screen do not save to the excel or the back up at this time, this will be changed in v2.6
