Sorcerers are very bad at learning to wield magic in the same way as a wizard does. It can make their magic uncontrollable and they can hurt themselves or others. That is according to D&D lore. Not criticizing. Just pointing out that we don't have to wonder what would happen if a sorcerer tried to study magic. We already know. ;)
Hi so for some reason the sorcery subclass appears twice on the subclass list? one without an icon (with skull icon as default) and one with an icon. can you look into that? thanks
I'm not able to learn spells via scrolls , it shows the learning was successful and yet nothing shows on my spell list. And i've tested it couple of times ,this issue only appears if i have chosen the sorcery subclass, other subclasses of wizard works just fine. anyone else had the same issue?
Hello. I'd been having problems making your Sorcery tradition work with the Expansion (Bladesinger) mod. Using the subclass Compatibility framework v1.10, Expansion v0.0.11, and your tradition v2.0. I'm assuming you did add this mod to the Subclass Compatibility framework. One thing it could be is the UUID. Is your UUID different from the Expansion UUID? Other than that I go no clue. I have every subclass loaded in the framework . When I have your mod loaded it shows up. When I take that off and load Expansion, it too shows. When I have both mods loaded in. I see 2 Sorcery mods in the subclass menu. I can tell one of those is Bladesinger by the location.
As a heads up, the latest version of the Subclass Compatibility Framework now has an exposed API - essentially a set of functions that this mod can call on, to automatically import itself into the Framework. Here's a guide on how to use it, if you're interested(we also have a drop-in template). The Framework still supports this mod, but switching to the API will make it easier to control how your mod is being loaded in - if you decide to use the API, let us know :D
Hey, I'm the main dev on the BG3 Community Library mod. With your permission, I'd love to include a reference to this mod in our subclass compatibility progressions! We're working on setting up the subclass-providing progressions with references to multiple subclass mods, to ensure compatibility between multiple mods.
In the context of this mod, it would look something like this:
In our Wizard Progressions file(Which includes only the Level 2 Progression), we would include a Subclass node pointing to the Sorcery Wizard's UUID.
In your Progressions file, you would either: remove the base level 2 Wizard Progression, and set the Community Library as a requirement, or direct users who want compatibility to grab the Community Library and load it below your mod.
Let me know if this is alright with you :)
EDIT: Edited to strike out the part where changes would need to happen to this mod, as the current framework in Community Library is capable of out-of-the-box compatibility to any subclass we reference
Question, are both Wizard and Sorcerer spell list available in this mod? And does the subclass get the same amount of sorcerer points available as a regular sorcerer or it’s limited?
Been playing it for Gale and having a blast. He mentions he studies and has considerable talent so this felt perfect! :D I particulary like that you put Flexible casting on six as it keeps a very powerful subclass somewhat reasonable.
the metamagic extended mod works great with this aswell.
And annoying! Been playing with my wife who is a newer player so wanted to play the ultimate support Gale but it was slowing combat down for both of us

This class is powerful, but 3 portents on short rest at level 6 is pretty broken.
