hi! im having some trouble downloading this mod. im not sure really what to do. i went in originally how i downloads by just dragging it to my bg3 mods folder which has worked with all my other mods but this one wont show up on my dream guardian. then i tried the mod manager way and it will redirect me to vortex and then say download failed. does anyone know what to do? i really wanted to make my dream guardian gortash for my durge.
YESSSSS that's what i'm using this mod for! :D dark urge being haunted by gortash, with the guardian taking advantage of durge's memory loss and sentimentality, ahh
Thank you, the mod works as intended! Just a question though; I´d like to revert back to the original guardian armor for a new playthrough. Deleting the mod doesn´t work, and neither does verifying the files via steam or reinstalling the game. Do you have a solution?
hi, always enjoyed this mod, ive never taken it off!! I was just looking randomly today but I think there may be an issue with the Gnome M body at the arms, or maybe its just me?
I don't know exactly what I'm doing wrong, but I've placed the unzipped package in the correct path twice now and the guardian's clothes still won't change. Do I have to copy paste the equipment.txt and manually change the guardian's clothes? (i've started a new playthrough both times to test)
I've just freshly tested it, so it is probably one of two things:
Make sure you are actually exiting the game before starting a new playthrough if you installed this when you had your game running. The game loads the guardian clothes on start up.
If that is not the issue, then it is probably the filepath. Make sure the path is EXACTLY: "Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public\Shared\Stats\Generated\Equipment.txt"
Unfortunately cannot get it to work :( I have tried both and it just won't pop up for some reason. I tried deleting other mods that follow the exact same file path but that also didn't seem to fix it.
edit: i went back once more and tweaked where to put it a bit! i have so many mods in the actual files it's a bit of a mess anyways. thank you so much for the help though!
There definitely is a way to change the playsuit, but it is a bit more involved than this method. You would have to directly modify the Guardian's appearance files, whereas this just swaps the starting equipment as a convenient workaround.
I don't have interest in pursuing a playsuit swap at this time, but I can 100% confirm that it /is/ possible if it is something you or anyone else would like to explore!
If you would like to use both equipment files, begin a game with the Gortash Clothes for Guardian mod file. Once you leave the character creation screen, you can then install the Gortash hireling equipment file over the other equipment file, as the Guardian’s outfit becomes set after its initial generation.
I'm using Customizer's Compendium. Theres an unofficial fix for Patch 4 only, nothing for Patch 5 yet but I personally have not run into the issues that others have reported. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/3986

Thank you!
The file should be in \Data\Public\Shared\Stats\Generated\
