FAQ : Q : "there is already a mod that does-" A : Shhhhh. No it's not the same no I won't elaborate (okay I'll elaborate, my mod does the same thing but dynamically and works on all modded items).
Q: Where stack number on equipment A: Improved UI used to make this work on Patch6 but the Patch7 version does not, idk if it's possible to fix, I've opened an issue on Improved UI's github
Just a note since this mod seems to be broken and abandoned -- it looks like you won't lose any stacked items if you delete this mod, they just revert back to their pre-stacked state. Your mileage may vary though :)
The stack numbers is actually due to imp ui, but this mod has an issue where items refuse to stack. Problem is that other than stackable barrels which works, there isn;t any other mod that works with patch 7 that stacks items for you which sucks. This is a major issue if you wanted to not have to use mods that add auto sorting containers which can cause problems with mods like auto seller and send items to camp.
Wasted potential imo. I hope the author of IMP Ui updates their mod as with it the UI is screwed up but 90% of good BG3 mods rely on it.
It should be taken down to prevent causing people bugs tho.
Maybe your post should be taken down to prevent people who are still using prior game versions for their awesome mod setups from getting angry with you for such limited scope of consideration.
I'm on latest game version myself, but I think mods should never be taken down because they aren't compatible with latest game version. All that is needed is a note about compatibility - as can be found in this posts section. Mods should only ever be taken down for literally breaking laws and thus being literally illegal.
Yup. Lots of people identify things as being issues with the mod that aren't (just look at this thread OP's bug report). I'm on patch 7 and yeah, not seeing the stack numbers makes me sad, but there is no difference in stackability of items from before and after this patch update. Lots of people who complain about things not stacking don't understand how the game identifies items and the sheer magnitude of the spaghetti-code nonsense going on behind the scenes, or are having mod-conflict issues and misattributing the problem to this mod. This mod isn't perfect but does an awesome service and I just wish people would be a little less confident about crying "broken mod!" The only thing I wish is that these things were documented on the main page or in the pinned post, so people would stop repeating the same things, but the mod author made, uh, a different choice lol.

Hard L take, but okay. I agree, this mod should be hidden with numerous other outdated and game breaking mods that do not function. Yet continue to be up to confuse others. Years from now, if this mod is still not updated but keeps getting DL's, it's a cold hard fact this kind of stuff is cancer to modding.
This mod does not work properly with Patch 7. Specifically, a bug prevents access to the epilogue after the game ending. I spent a lot of time identifying the cause of the issue where the game gets stuck at the epilogue. I'm sharing this post to help others avoid the same problem.
Mod is broken. JUst use the stackable barrels mod on mod.io and use an auto sorting bag mod to auto sort your potions and stuff. Stacking weapons and armour was never the intent of the game and this is where most of the patch 7 issues are occuring with this mod.
It isn't working properly no. Just remove it before playing. I'm probably going to restart just to remove this broken mod as I have no way of telling whether I've accidentally stacked items that aren't showing as stacked. I could have 10 of an item and not know it.
This should already be the case, you probably need improved ui or better inventory from Pavelk, no idea how the vanilla UI behave. I can do so just fine at least.
Hey, so I'm figuring that this might be Patch 7 jank, I started using this over the other stack mod out there (It's hidden now) as I think this one is better but I have an issue where I have ImpUI but it's not showing the stack numbers for items that doesn't normally stack
I found the file that used to make it work in Improved UI on patch6, it's no longer Included for some reason, probably because of the AMAZING changes the toolkit forced on UI mods, I'll ask Djmr about it (´。_。`)
DataTemplate file changes can now be made in your mod without requiring another mod like ImpUI due to the patch 7 changes - https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/ui-basic-setup#heading-7 You need to add the new style/template you're changing in your lib_keyboard and lib_controller files, then update/extend any states where the stack numbers will show in your statemachine
I don't want to rush you or anything, but is are you working on a update for this? Is there some temporary fix we can do to fix this issue while you work on it?
Again, not trying to rush you, just asking to know if there are any updates. =D
Hi, this mod when used on equipable gears (like weapons and armors) don't seem to show the number of stacks. At first I thought the items I stacked were gone, but it turns out that if I try to split them, I could see the actual numbers there are. It just doesn't show on the icons. Is this the normal behavior for the mod?
Yep it's normal behavior, Improved UI fixed this on patch6 but the patch7 version doesn't include the changes now, I've opened an issue to ask the Improved UI author if it's a feature that could return.
I can't tell from the description but it's implied from the image, so I just want to confirm -- does this also expand carrying capacity? As in, if I got this, would I be able to remove the Stackable Items mod *and* Carry Weight Extra?

Other types of items seem to work fine though
