I like the "counter attack" on this, refunding die for ripost, also +1 to AC cause it's so big. Only thing I would change is make the weight more. It would be cool, if someone could make it so you could drop a spell scroll on it and as long as its attached you can keep casting the spell without using up the scroll, like once per short rest, like it's materia.
