i cant seem to get this working either :-( i have tried both the PAK and the loose files version, even trying both at the same time, but nothing has worked. does anybody have a solution? thank you
This is my first time modding, so I am not sure what I am doing, but I can't seem to get it to work. I downloaded all the files the mod required, such as the ones you pointed out. I put the contents of the files into the Data folder, like you said. It is not working on my save. I am not sure what to do at this point. Do I have to restart the game? Does this only work if Shadowheart is the main character? I am at a loss.
I just wanted to say thank you for making this. I just recently beat the game, and this specific thing has been bothering me ever since a certain point in act 3, so ... thank you. Def using for my next playthrough.
Sorry if this is a nerdy question but if I install this without any hair mods, does Shadowheart keep her hairstyle? I really like her default hair, but I'd also like to try this mod out. Good job either way!
You know, it actually feels fitting somehow. I dig it. If I hadn't gotten so far in my playthroughs with her face already looking the way it does, I def would've installed this; it'd just be strange to have her face suddenly change mid-playthrough, lmao. I think I'll install it when I've finished those though!
Would it be possible to get this as a .pak so BG3MM can handle it? I know it's easy to install all things considered but still, having a .pak would be nice for ease of install/uninstall.
If you have already tried what I am about to suggest, I apologize; I just know how much frustrated searching can be involved in finding modding tools and getting them to work. I want to share what has been working for me on the off chance it might work for you as well.
I have been using Norbyte's ISLib (Converter App) to make .pak files. https://github.com/Norbyte/lslib/releases
There are also necessary files and install instructions at the bottom of this page, the files download directly from the links there. https://github.com/Norbyte/lslib?search=1
I do not recall any major setup beyond that. To create a .pak file
Select "Baldurs Gate 3" from the Game drop down menu at the top
Select the "PAK / LSV Tools" Tab (second from the left for me)
"Extract Package" is on the top, "Create Package" on the bottom
I did not touch the settings under "Create Package" but left them as they populated. For me that was: Version [V18 (Baldur's Gate 3 Release)], Compression [LZ4], Priority [0], I do not have the box "Solid" checked
The "Source Path" can have any name and is wherever you have your current mod files stored. I have been using the 'data' folder level but with whatever names suit my organizational needs.
The "Package Path" will be whatever folder you want the .pak to be in, ending with the file name you wish it to have. For example; C:\Mods\BG3\Modding_Projects\Companions\Shadowheart\An_Alternative_Shadowheart.pak
Once all that is set up click "Create Package" and the app does the rest.
I use a different app for unpacking since I was having issues reading some of the files extracted with this one, so it might have limitations with its packing as well, I don't know. So far I have only done some minor personal edits to text files from other modders work and repacked them, but they have all been working great for me.
I hope this helps; and sorry again if it is something you have already tried.
oh it is alright down right now "The Nexus Mods Forums are currently offline for maintenance. This is likely to extend until Tuesday 21st November, during which time the forums will be unavailable." Want me to drop a link after this post and then you just delete it or I edit it out?

At the moment I'm consumed with making facial hair/scruff for Wyll. :D
I don't see the option in your profile
