Thank you all for letting me know the .pak file wasn't working. I've uploaded a loose file version for now that you can unzip and drop the 'Generated' folder into Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\ I'll keep working on getting a fixed .pak file up!
you still active? if so, you willing to upload this mod to Mod.io? i love the small stain left behind as a reminder. but that majority of that stain needs to be cleanable. and this mod dose that.
Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon. "Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.
Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.
You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."
If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.
Does this mod also prevent flashing white square that sometimes appears above the bloody circle? It usually triggers during a dialogue near the stain. I figured it had something to do with that persistent blood texture... or in worse case scenario, the game not being able to completely clean up the body.
I'm not sure as I haven't experienced that particular glitch in my own game. It resolves the white square on the tent, so I would assume it would also help with your issue. I can't guarantee it, but it might be worth a try.
Well, I haven't been experiencing the flashing square since I installed the mod, so thank you :) I didn't realize it's actually related to the tent, because clearly the blood stain causes it - not the tent itself. Some weird clipping or whatever... Visually, the mod also works as intended. I'm using the circle only version. I did notice however that I can't wash away the leftover blood - at least not with create water spell. Still, it's an improvement.
Just installed the loose file version, it's replaced the circle with the last little smudge without me having to do anything - given that the major issue I had was the flickering white square I'm happy enough with that outcome for now!
choosing to wash your character's hands of the blood always makes me have Lady Macbeth's lines in my head. So the name of the mod is perfect for this, now I don't have to try and plan where the camp event happens so that the bloodstain isn't there during the tiefling party
I'm so sorry, I thought I had it sorted out before uploading. I've uploaded a loose file version that should suffice for now (install instructions are on the description), and I'll keep working at the .pak version!
For some reason when I add this mod into mod manager it basically prevents all of my other mods from loading into the game, just in case anyone else was having this problem as well.
Yes! I was very confused what was happening lol. Took testing everything new I added and was surprised this one did it. Looking forward to an update that blood and flicker s#*! is annoying
