I no joke have had at least one person tell me they have talked to their tattoo artist about getting Elminster big naturals, it is a very surreal feeling tbh. Though I am glad people think my work is good enough to actually get done!
You both seem to understand what makes a cliché traditional tattoo while still preserving good anatomy/having interesting angles (that tadpole is insane). Maybe the lines are a little wobbly but overall I wouldn't be surprised to see these as actual flash from multiple tattoo artists I know. Cheers!
thanks! I did do some research into old school style tattoos while working on this to make sure that I got the style right, as I've found that to make a good parody you need a dash of sincerity. I am proud of how these came out if I'm truly honest, and I'm a little sad that I really can't get away with putting any of these in my portfolio. (I'm an artist/graphic designer, and unfortunately they're not really appropriate for the type's of clients I work with OTL)
Oh I get that all too well as a fellow artist. At least you can share it on social media if you have any side semi/non professional account, that's what I've done in the past just fine anyway when I wanted to show it to a wider audience without harming my client base if they're not nsfw/fandom people.
