scratching at the walls rn it took me f*#@ing 3 days to get my computer to run mods properly (im stupid and monkey brain) but BY GOD IS IT WORTH IT. i love dilf. more than perhaps what is the recommended amount! mod creator i am chewing on you (affectionate) (i can stop if asked)
iirc replacers haven't changed with patch five, so all that you need to do is paste the Generated folder provided with this download to your Baldurs Gate 3/Data folder and it should work.
I'm really wanting to hybridize this mod with That Unsightly Mole - A Very Subtle Astarion Edit if possible, but I can't find a vanilla texture uploaded anywhere to isolate the changes with each face. I want him looking exhausted and flawed and very much like a man who spent a large portion of 2 centuries starving in total darkness and also with cute little spots I could smooch, all these "prettier" edits just take away his whole history!
I took a peek at the files of that mod and I do think that it's possible to hybridize the two textures. Basically, there are three files for face textures in BG3: - ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_NM: normal map. TLDR: Adds wrinkles, you probably don't need to touch anything if you just want the moles. - ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_CLEA: i honestly have no clue what this does but I wouldn't touch it if you just want to add moles! - ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_HMVY: this is the file that you wanna edit! It's the part of the texture set that controls moles, freckles, dark circles, etc.
If you want a quick fix (so to speak) what I suggest is taking the ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_NM and ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_CLEA files from this mod, the ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_HMVY file from the other mod, and putting them all together in the folder path (Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\Characters\_Models\Elves\ELF_M_NKD\ELF_M_Astarion\Resources). That way you can have both wrinkles and moles.
If you want to merge both the moles and dark circles from this mod, however, then I recommend opening both ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion_HMVY files in Photoshop (or any other image editing software) and mixing them. I use this plugin to edit and export DDS files in Photoshop.
If you have any more questions lmk! (FYI, while I give blanket permission to edit my texture mods for personal use, the author of the Astarion mole edits doesn't, so I'd personally ask them if they're fine with that!)
I've gotten a bit waylaid by the fact I don't have photoshop and have GIMP instead, so I'm trying to work out how to get photoshop plugins running on there instead, but I did get permission from the other author with the disclaimer that all three maps are changed. It's kind of funny to me that I swore I wouldn't get into modding this game and I'm breaking that oath for the 200 year old elf, but as needs must and all.
If I figure out what the CLEA file affects, I'll let you know, since it's affected by the mole one.
currently have him younger and with black hair in my playthrough, but i am thinking about creating another playthrough, where he has his normal hair back and looks a bit older! this is great

I got both the skin mods and the EA fangs mod working together! Rejoice, the DILF+ is created.
