A quick THANK YOU to people who donated to me via paypal. I was surprised at the donations these past days. I'm very grateful, it does encourage me to want to publish some original mods for games I enjoy but, I am tied up with IRL things where my interests are on hold. Sucks but I am very grateful to you all! I have two mods I've been wanting to release for BG3 but time and opportunity is tied to IRL.
If you are having issues with 1XP patch, only use it on a new game - NEVER ON A CONTINUED SAVE. This means a fresh new game straight from main menu. Read the following to understand more if you are having issues...
UPDATE: Added a 1 XP per level alternative file for those who want to level up to lv20 immediately. You can only use this alternative path or the original. Choose 1. (THIS WAS NOT TESTED EXTENSIVELY, LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ISSUES.)
Any and all issues about the base mod must be brought to UnlockLevelCurve [Bug Tab] - I only touched XP Values. This patch should not cause any issue as it is only different in value changes. It is structurally the same as the original mod author's own mod patches.
Bring any and all concerns about the main mod to the mod page.
Any comments below about this patch should strictly be questions that aren't already addressed on the main mod page, I will simply ignore any inquiries that are already available on the main mod posts/bugs/threads. I hope your journey is great, if you can let me know how the xp flow worked for your gameplay, it would be an amazing reward for me.
Hi, I got UnlockLevelCurve installed and its working great. I am in middle of playthrough and I notice that I wont be able to reach highest levels that this mod provides.Can I add mid play this main mod, is that safe to add\remove mid-game?Thanks in advance
Any XP mod you use should be used from fresh to finish for the safest experience. You can try to remove the mod, but I would back up your saves and see what you can get away with.
Some people can get lucky, others not so much. It's not something I can track effectively enough to tell you how much success you may have or not.
Thank you so much ViLeDeth for putting the work you have into this mod. I’m still at level 4, but I haven’t even reached the Druid grove yet. Gonna restart though and we’re (co-op with my brother) gonna do a lvl 20 double durge playthrough
Just tested this with a clean installation and it works perfectly, same works with 1XP patch as well.
I recommend you do a few things: Make sure the base mod is installed and is the latest version. This is required. Do not use the 1XP patch on a continued save. Do not use the Adjusted curve patch on a continued save that was already altered by a different XP patch mod (you mix up the XP data saved to characters, only pick 1 and stick to it) Verify the integrity of your game files. If you want to be extra safe, make a new game to use the new XP patches - doesn't matter if they are mine or other people's patches, this is relevant across the board.
I seriously apologize because I am literally looking at the image provided on the description page and I am literally looking at my BGMM and I am trying to figure out why I can't get the mod to work. I've got 5e spells, ULC, ULC_P_XP_A, and then 5e spells lvl 2 improv in that order. I've shoved them at the top of my list to give them priority, I don't even think that does anything but I'm grasping at straws. I used to have this mod working and I took a hiatus from the game, mod manager pulled some weird s#*! so everything disappeared, added some mods and tried putting humpty dumpty together again and nothing is working now.
The only thing I can think of that I did differently, besides putting stuff back in, was that I added ring of elder gods, party limit begone, and some fancy make my Tav look cute paks.
Does elder god or party limit effect this mod? Or do I have these specific mods in the wrong order?
Sorry for all of this info, feel free to be like "nah friendo, can't help." XD But thanks for your time! Hopefully my bullshit made sense.
The 1XP Optional File, for some reason, only works with the party and not the main Tav character. Followed the steps three times in a row and just got tired of repeating the same thing and getting the same result. No idea if the other mod works as intended because usually, I reach level 4 around the time I get to Emerald Grove anyways. Further testing is needed maybe.
I'll be honest, I made the 1 XP out of request - I believe it is running into an issue with the game logic behind xp and the total xp. So I will have to look into it when I can.
But for those that are reading: YMMV means, your mileage may vary. This was tagged onto the 1xp mod when released. I highly suggest if anyone reads this to only install the 1XP mod on a FRESH game starting from new game, etc. Do not use it on a current save.
I've noticed a lot of other comments about a problem I am experiencing, but no answers have been provided or figured out. I'm using the 1 xp version and it let me level up two levels from where I was but then it says maximum level reached. This is at level 14, but Karlach was only at level 5. I wonder if it's an issue with the base mod having been updated while this one hasn't been?
This is the nature of the XP system of the game itself. This issue has happened to me as well but my best option was either to restart completely with the 1xp or respec AFTER the mod is active then go to smithers and respec. Sometimes it just works, other times it doesn't but it's not a rampant issue because if it was then there'd be a lot of comments about this but if you look at the downloads section for either patch, 99% are able to play. Outliers such as yourself and in my example sometimes me, just have something funky going on that could just be game logic issues or load order.
My theory is that you have too much XP banked already and thus you are already at max level for the game's own logic you are done collecting xp. Which is true but you are not maxed level. So I would suggest just trying the smithers respec trick. Do not respec prior to my mod, respec AFTER it is loaded and ensure your required xp for the next level is just 1 xp.
For any party members, SEND THEM TO CAMP, then recruit them. This is another thing the game does, it will force them to have YOUR xp amount.
Beyond that, there is nothing new to change for my mod because the base mod has features that aren't different just numeric changes.
I have an issue with this mods or maybe the oder things. The issue is i cant level up to lvl 13, the game always crash even when i come to the withers. Can anyone help me?

For people who also manually install mods:
1 XP version:

<attribute id="Folder" value="UnlockLevelCurve_Patch_XP_Adjusted_1XP" type="LSString" />
<attribute id="MD5" value="" type="LSString" />
<attribute id="Name" value="UnlockLevelCurve_Patch_XP_Adjusted_1XP" type="LSString" />

Please refer to any troubleshooting tips in this or the base mod should you encounter any issues with leveling.

I'm not sure TBH. Your ordeal may need a thorough reinstall of mods first. BUT I want you to do this before all that happens.
Just install my mod and the base mod it requires to work.
Only those two and boot up your game and see if it works.

You can use this below it on the list and see if it works. Otherwise - you must choose one or the other.
EDIT:
Also, re-read the UnlockLevelCurve_Patch_Improvement requirements and compatibilities.
