Welcome to the comments section! I'm not currently taking requests to patch other hair mods. If you are the author of a race mod, however, feel free to reach out about adding your race to the Custom Races patch!
As of icon patch v.1.8.1, the file structure was changed so that the next time THS updates, you should be able to see the new hairs with or without the icon patch active(the new hairs just won't have custom icons). This also means that if the icon patch is inactive, you don't need to also remove it from your mods folder.
Things to do if the mod isn't working: - Check that all files are up-to-date - When using BG3MM, save the load order & click "Export Order to Game" - When in doubt: delete & reinstall both mods (sometimes files get corrupted while downloading) - See if the problem you're having is here in the comments or reported as a bug If it still isn't working and you want to ask for help, please mention that you have tried all of the above, as well as a description of what is happening (i.e. are the icons still Toarie's default? or they they blank or look like question marks? are certain hairstyles not showing up at all? etc.) and a screenshot of your load order. If I can't replicate the problem myself, there's not much I can do to help (especially if you're using Vortex).
If you're using the Vortex mod manager, please know that there is a reason why so many people say to use BG3MM instead. Sure, it's more convenient to use one mod manager for multiple games, but that comes with the trade off that it isn't necessarily the most reliable way to manage your mods. BG3MM is specifically *for* BG3 mods, and seems to have far fewer issues.
(4/12/2024) I have no interest in providing support for any of DarthRen's mods, including "Tav's Hair Mixer".Please stop asking. Also, I have tentatively decided to re-enable downloading through Vortex. I maintain that I can't help you if you encounter problems though, and you're better off either asking someone who uses Vortex for help or switching to BG3MM.
I am currently out of town and likely won't be able to update the patches until I get back home.
Because of the way the files are currently set up, you will not be able to see the new hairs that Toarie added in THS V.1.9.3/1.9.4 unless you remove the icon patch from your mods folder. The icon patch will override THS as long as it is in your mods folder, even if the patch is not in the active load order.
5/10/2014: Almost done updating.
Please disregard this comment as it is no longer relevant. Thank you for your patience.
Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon.
"Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.
Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.
You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."
If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.
Yo perseidipity, I have some good news for you. I found out that if you just name the IconUV's "0_Hair_[VisualResourceUUID]" and make a duplicate called "1_Hair_[VisualResourceUUID]", then you don't need to add IconIdOverride's to the CharacterCreationAppearanceVisuals. The game will automatically apply IconUV's that follow that naming convention, so you could future proof the icon patches for all Tav Hair Salon updates since you won't need to override the CharacterCreationAppearanceVisuals.
If you make ANOTHER duplicate for those IconUV's called "0_Beard_[VisualResourceUUID]" and "1_Beard_[VisualResourceUUID]", then it will even be compatible with Tav's Hair Mixer out of the box.
I actually have known about this for a little while, and you are correct that I don't need the IconIdOverride line (at least not since I started actually naming the icon IDs 0/1_Hair_[VisualResourceID] instead of the previous "0_Hair_[NewUUID]" I used in the first several versions of this patch), however I've found during my testing that I do still need to override Toarie's CCAV because she includes an IconIdOverride line to apply one icon to all the hairs. If I don't include my own version of the CCAV, then my icons won't show up. I appreciate the sentiment though! And at the very least, you've got me making another attempt at one method of "future proofing" I had a hard time getting to work a few months ago, now that I understand how these things work a bit better.
Regarding Tav's Hair Mixer, I have stated before that I have no interest in any associations with DarthRen or their mods (and for the sake of not stirring drama back up, I will not publicly discuss the reasons why).
I would love to but tepkunset's Firbolgs use the strong body type as a base, and there's only two hairs in THS made for strong bodies (one masc hair and one other hair made for fem Half-Orcs). Toarie's autosnap hairpack seems to work fine with that race though since it uses the "humanoid" parent race.

THS Icon Patch - Autosnap Pack: 1.0.1 (compatible with Toarie's Autosnap Hairpack V.1)
