    UNIQUE TAV:

To make this work with Unique Tav you are going to want to pull the files from this mod, rename each to have UNIQUE_ in front of them, and navigate to Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\unique_tav\BODY\DGB, and replace the existing files there.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Manual Download the file

    2. Open the file, and navigate to the end files

    3. Rename each file to have UNQUE_ in front of it. (Example: UNIQUE_DGB_F_NKD_Tail_C.gr2)

     Female Tail Names:
    - UNIQUE_DGB_F_NKD_Tail_A.gr2
    - UNIQUE_DGB_F_NKD_Tail_B.gr2
    - UNIQUE_DGB_F_NKD_Tail_C.gr2

     Male Tail Names:
    - UNIQUE_DGB_M_NKD_Tail_A.gr2
    - UNIQUE_DGB_M_NKD_Tail_B.gr2
    - UNIQUE_DGB_M_NKD_Tail_C.gr2

    4. Navigate to Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\unique_tav\BODY\DGB

    5. Remove the current tail files from both the male and female folders

    6. Place the NEW tail files you renamed from this mod in the male and female folders respectively.

    7. Make sure you place Female(DGB_F) and Male(DGB_M) tails in the correct folders
    Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\unique_tav\BODY\DGB\MALE
    Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\unique_tav\BODY\DGB\FEMALE

I can't seem to get it to work.

All the files are in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated\Public\SharedDev\Assets\Characters\_Models\Dragonborn\_Female\Resources" (and same for _Male) but the tail still shows up in the wrong location in the character creation menu.

EDIT: It just start working by itself, IDK what fixed it. I think it might have been because my copy of the game was a fresh install on a new computer when I tried the mod for the first time. After a restart it worked.

so making the tail into a butt plug is somehow making it better?

Well technically "yes"...tails are, at least when compared to earthly reptiles, waaaay to high. This is a pretty scientifically accurate placement. But also tbf, Dragonborns shouldn't have tails at all. That would make them Half-Dragons instead.

well the thing about that is that the placement would be right if they were reptilian, but theyre anthro, so it really does look like a butt plug

tails are an extension of the spine. the tail normally sticks out with a semi 90 degree angle, in reality, if it was placed like that, it'd be snapping the spine into a really weird unnatural angle! also, tails on dogs and cats and such are usually right above where their... y'know... anus is, so it DOES look like it's coming out their butt, but it's actually just directly ABOVE their butt.

I'd say it's a hell of a lot better than having a tail coming out of your f*#@ing lower back like wtf

I would say this mod not just an improvement, but a bugfix honestly. For me it's a must have

I second this. Im using Baldur´s Gate 3 Mod Manager and i can´t install this Mod with it, because it says there´s no pak file found.

I cannot get this mod to show up in my game despite following the instructions exactly. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong or what I need to change?

The principle of this mod is to make use of the 'generated' folder that comes with the game.
Starting the game will automatically replace the original file of the game with the file in the corresponding path in the 'generated' folder.
Theoretically, this mod will not be affected by any updates.
This mod replaces 6 model files.
The path of one of these files should be like this after install:
      "X: ...\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated\Public\SharedDev\Assets\Characters\_Models\Dragonborn\_Female\Resources\DGB_F_NKD_Tail_A.gr2"
