I was making more crafting mods with the idea of merging them all into one mega mod eventually but I've been away from modding for a while. This may happen come the new year should I find the time :) I've got a cooking mod that's been almost ready to go for a while now.
Thank you sm for this mod. theres a lot of potions that are completely useless to me so being able to recycle them is very helpful. also potions expanded as a concept would be super cool
If you have the recipes unlocked in the Alchemy panel in game you could check that to see what you would get back from the potion. If you don't currently have the potion recipe, then breaking down the potion will give you the recipe once you have the extract in your inventory.
I am looking into adding in game books containing recipes for each of my crafting mods that is/will be released so that there is some reference in game, unfortunately without full modding tools custom crafting can't be as smooth a process as the built in Alchemy panel yet. Although I am adding some new potions and elixirs and extractables that use the Alchemy panel in my upcoming mods.
Hi, if I use the wizard talent level 2, which lets me create 2 potions with 1 ingredient : won't this give me an infinite number of ingredients back? Using 1 ingredient to craft > get 2 potions > recycle 2 potions > get 2 ingredients.
if you can succeed that 15 DC medicine (wis) check with transmutation wizard, yep.... as you do have infinite tries, depending on how much of your life you want to be spending on creating potion after potion.
This mod only gives you back the main ingredient used for a recipe not the (any) ingredient that is used alongside it so while you will get more of the main ingredient back you will still lose out on the other (any) ingredient. Although if you have two different recipes that together give you all the ingredients needed for both then you could potentially do it infinite times but this is a rather niche case in my opinion.
Well yes and no. I had planned to release a whole bunch of crafting related mods and have many things in the works but your comment reminded me this was something I hadn't started yet and it was relatively easy to do so thanks for the help :)
