Ok, so either you chose to call this vantablack knowing full well it's not even close to what that is, or you have no idea what vantablack is supposed to be in the first place and chose to call it this regardless. Either way, the name you chose and the thing you made are NOT the same thing at all.
The actual material absorbs something like 99.97% of the light that hits it. Images of it, when compared to the standard black color for image processing (hue/sat/lum at 0) are virtually identical. Theoretically if you put a person inside a room that was completely and perfectly coated in the material and gave them a flashlight, they'd physically have to touch the wall to properly identify where it even was.
Meanwhile, your "vantablack" dye is reflective, shows great texture and detail of the underlying garment, and otherwise just isn't at all what you've decided to name it after.....
Well, I can explain why Einstein's Relativity completely does not work. But I'm not about to post a rant to a modder's comments section. But I think phat71 is sufficiently chastened now...
Imagine ranting about the naming of a mod LMFAO are you that bored with your life? Its a fkin mod for goodness sake. Download and use it or don't its that simple
what a stupid stupid thing to say... no wonder modders have decided to quit. just read the description, it is as black as black can get on your screen (which emits light). What, were you expecting part of your screen pixels to be turned off? Ever heard of poetic license?
i know im late but just to annoy the poster of this post
Vanta Black absorbs 99.965% of incomming light, not 99.7% when you go on a rant, make sure you are correct, otherwise you look even dumber then you already do now. its a mod, no one cares about a name and the "correct meaning"
That you called it Vantablack and say Anish Kapoor can't use it is double-awesome. It'd be fun if you could put it in the file requirements pop-up, too.
Would it be possible to add a version with silver or darker iron metal accents instead of black ones? This black shade is absolutly beautiful, but all metal details gets black too, which clashes now and then with certain armors/clothes (I use this dye on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in my game 😂♥️)

go Neutron elsewhere Jimmy
I cannot play without this mod, it is a must, I don't know why every game dev has aversion to a truly black dye.
I should put a disclaimer that Anish Kapoor cannot use it
Could you make 2 more please? I run my main in black gear, and the ladies in white. Would look great if we can coordinate better.
