Roadmap (2/18/2025) - Very Soon: Optional add-on to change Genie's Wrath into a toggled passive. Completed. - Short Term: Creation at 5th Level and Wish for 17th Level. Completed. - Short Term: Replace Thunderous Stampede with a spell from 5e (preferably Wind Wall, maybe Lightning Bolt if that doesn't pan out). Completed. - Short Term: Possibly replace Seeming with Control Winds. Completed. - Long Term: Summon a Genie for 10 turns with Limited Wish. - Long Term: A Genie's Lamp map area that you can actually enter with Bottled Respite.
Also I'll probably redo the resource icons sometime in the future.
will this be updated? it seems patch 8 breaks the mod anytime i summon the vessel its invisible and going into the lamp turns you into an eyeball. (looking forward to the genie lamp map area on roadmap tho)
I am not able to replicate this bug. Please make sure your Veenab Library files (VBT_Resource & VBT_Toolkit) are updated and are loaded before Fathomless Warlock.
Is this compatible with the Pactbound warlock overhaul mod? if not, could you make a compatiblity patch please. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12618
I can't for the life of me get this to work. Is there any other requirements than those listed?
My issue is that when I manage to get the choice of genie working, I cannot access the added spells at all. The vessel summon works as do other class features, but the spells just don't show up.
Sorry that reply did not clarify anything. The normal spell lists are the spells you choose and the extended spell list are the spells you receive for free.
With that info, it would seem it's the extended spells that are the problem. While the level up screen displays them, they aren't added to my list and I can't use any
Hi there, Really liking the mod! Genie Patron is my favourite Warlock subclass! Is there any chance you could make it compatible with Gycicada's PF2e Spells, so that these spells are availble to the Warlock when levelling up with the Genie Patron (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2460?tab=description)? Would really appreciate it.
Adding compatibility for one mod will open the door to opening compatibility for other mods. For now, I will not be adjusting the mod to make it compatible with other spell mods.
Hello I love the mod! I'm just wondering if there's any plans to add a optional file to allow on hit effects with Genie's Wrath. Since I believe normally in DnD rules using the Crusher Feat with the Dao Genie you can use the Crusher feat push back distance with the extra bludgeoning damage from casting an attack spell.
Hello, I noticed that the Control Water spell granted by the Water Spirit lacks upgraded spell slot versions. This causes an issue where, when a class reaches level 10 and gains access to 5th-level spell slots, the spell becomes unusable for those slots—it forces you to cast it using a 4th-level spell slot instead.
Can confirm this issue. It seems like a consequence of Warlock Progression. I also could not cast Conjure Elemental from the Minions of Chaos Invocation while testing this either. Not sure if there is a fix for this, previously the only 'fix' was to replace the spell with Ice Storm, a non-container spell.
I was thinking if we could address this issue by adding upcast versions to these spells, similar to how the Earth Genasi's spells are upcast, which avoids this problem altogether.
There has always been an upcasted version of the spell and its accessible if you are not using Warlock progression. Anyways, the issue should be fixed in the next Veenab Library update (whenever that comes out).
Hi, really like your mods, have many of them. As a user, i have a request in the future, when you update your mods like this one and fathomless, could you not change the file name so that it doesnt automatically recongnized, as same file as old version, by your operating system? Or at very least keep file names similar to older version of the mods, so its easier to find and remove old versions.
With this mod the logical name was also different and bg3mm did not recignize the new file , i had to move the new file into active load order manually, and bg3mm gave me a "missing mod error" when loading game. despite thr update.
The game loaded fine but it made updating more time consuming and when managing a lot of mods, is not ideal. Thank you.
The name of the pak file. Was not recognized, it was different then a previous version. i had to install the pak, find the out what the name was on the previous versiin. Once removed, i got the missing mod notification in bg3, during updating during a current run, as it didnt recognize her version as same mod as old version.
Most mods get recognized, when upgrading, as the same mod as previous version and you dont get a missing mod error. With your spell and libraries, everything works fine and updates install right over previous versions. Its just these two warlock subclasses that had this issue.
Did you delete the previous version of the mod before updating? There is no difference in how the warlock subclass mods and any of my other mods are made or packed.
Firstly, I am loving this mod. Thank you so much for developing it :)
I have a question; is there supposed to be a texture for the genie lamp? When I put it on the ground it's invisible. My load order is what you suggest.
That generally means a missing VisualTemplate, but you should see a lot of other missing things. Make sure Veenab Library (both files) are up to date, as that's where the lamp's VisualTemplate is at.
Hello, I've noticed that when I use your level 14 feature for limited wishing, there are only two options available, namely Summon Supplies and Free Spell Casting. Is this an issue with the ordering?
You should receive the additional options based on your tag through a hidden passive which is added along with the feature. It most likely has nothing to do with Load Order. If your load order was incorrect, you wouldn't even be able to select any of your spells outside of Mystic Arcanum. If you only just recently reached 14th Level, you may not notice this, but you can check by attempting to respec. The Load Order is: 1, Community Library 2. VBT_Toolkit (Veenab Library) 3, VBT_Resource (Veenab Library) 4. Genie Warlock 5. Compatibility Framework
Which Genie Type did you choose? Edit: I got to Level 14 with each Genie Type and was able to see the additional Limited Wish options for all of them.
Thank you so much. I've figured out the cause myself. It was due to the previous old front-end not being completely deleted. Now everything is working fine. I also noticed that different elements have different special effects when they fly, which I didn't see before. Haha. Thank you very much for your reply.

You will have to wait for the next update.
Please check that you have the correct load order.

Just curious, thanks for reading!
