Few minor fixes. 1.2.9 - updated for patch 8.
If you're on patch 8 use either one of the patch 8 versions of ImpUI. Some people have had issues with the CC fixes version (in general, not related to Caites' mods), personally it works fine for me.
Hey guys, I've found a pak that can cause Topbar to disappear, and that's 2StatusRowsonSidebar.pak. This is an outdated mod from this author. Check your mods folder, even if you haven't enabled it, just existing in the mods folder can still cause Topbar to disappear
you can "find" only paks you have installed by yourself. keep mods updated for your game's versions and read what you are installing and there will be no "issues" like that.
15/4/25 patch 8 update - This mod is not maintained. Due to BG3 patch 8 changes, mod authors will now be able to make changes to UI elements such as action resources, without relying on additional mods such as ImpUI.
Since ImpUI is also no longer being maintained, would you be willing to remove the dependency off of your mods? From what I have read that Patch 8 actually added most of the same function of ImpUI into their own code, so the mod is no longer necessary.
please, do not post things you don't understand. custom actions resources and CC tweaks from ImpUI made it to the game, but custom statemachines for my mods is still relevant and should be on ImpUI side.
Install ImpUI 7 if youre on Patch 7, but if you updated your game to Patch 8 download the Patch 8 ImpUI version (called Slim). ImpUI Patch7 Ready is as dependency because that was the name of the Improved UI before Patch 8
Loving the mod so far, been playing it Splitscreen with a friend. The one suggestion if I could make one would be to have a more visible indicator of who is selecting a target in the top bar.
Currently if player one has selected a target, the “1” icon (indicating that player 1 selecting that person) on the top bar target’s portrait is obscured by I think the armor class of the target or whatever the number on the top right of their portraits represent. This is the same for player two.
I was wondering if you’d be able to add a more visible indicator to show which player is selecting which target in the top bar? Very low priority, but just thought I’d throw it out there. Thanks again for the great mod!
I do not support splitscreen in any of my mods, sorry. its a very niche thing, but its support requires testing and reworking almost all widgets for it.
If turn order is invisible on gamepad for anyone else, its not this mod causing it!! I did a lot of trial and error and you have to delete the deathknight class mod
But I don't have the deathknight class mod. I only have mods from the official channel (My brother refuses to use the nexus) and we ended up having this issue

maybe some incompatibility in your list. mb the issue is on my side, but as I said, it works for me when I'm switching between kb/m and pad back and forth, and if I can't reproduce it, I can't fix it as well.
Hi, I was actually coming here to hopefully find a solution to this exact problem. I can confirm I am having this same issue. One detail I can provide, at least for myself, is that this only started happening post patch 7. I just tested switching to kb/m and the top bar appears with the swap to the different UI. If I switch back to controller, I can see the top bar outline but between those is invisible 80% of the time. Occasionally, a couple portraits will appear. I can’t figure out what triggers it.
I installed this mod through the in game mod manager. I do have BG3MM installed still, but all mods from that MM are disabled or uninstalled through the in-game manager. I have impUI installed.
you sure its not a vanilla issue? have you update the mod? what version of this mod we are talking about? what is your list? I need reproducible scenario of this issue to start fixing it.
Do you use any text mod that required to put inDatafolder? I play with KB, after patch 7 top bar pops up then disappears, solved the issue by removing "Readable font for Item Descriptions" mod. Maybe you could try deleting mods that modify text if using one.

I would assume I am on the latest version. I installed it through the in-game manager which I’d expect to only have the latest version, but also auto-update if there are updates to a mod I’m subscribed too.
I don’t have many mods. I have the impUI and most other mods that go along with that made by Caits. I have a couple hair/tattoo/makeup mods which are the “Lemon” branded mods within the in-game manager. I also have the party limit mod. As previously mentioned, I do have BG3MM installed still, but no mods are activated. This would mean I still have the script-extender and whatever other “mods” that would only show up in the bottom portion of BG3MM (I can’t remember what these are called, but they are separate from mods). Should I have just completely uninstalled BG3MM?
Like mentioned in my other reply, it seems to work as intended if I swap to kb/m. I would think that if there were incompatibility issues, the top bar wouldn’t show portraits in either controller or kb/m UI variants.
I am playing on a 65” TV. I don’t know if this is relevant or not, but mentioning because I know the mod mentions it should work for various aspect ratios.
@prgr86 Hey buddy, check if your mods folder has 2StatusRowsonSidebar.pak, which is also the mod of this author, but now it is outdated and the author has deleted this mod page. Even if you don't enable it, just existing in the mods folder will cause the Topbar to disappear
Quick update: I did disable the better top bar mod and load into my game again. This didn’t change anything. I was hoping the game would revert back to using the vanilla top bar. I’m now wondering if it’s the impUI in general that is doing this. I intend to disable that mod entirely the next time I get into the game (assuming it doesn’t break my save).
edit: I can’t find that .Pak anywhere. I’ve looked in what seems to be 3 different “mod” folders for BG3 and didn’t see it in any.
I've been agonizing over this issue for a while now. I disabled every mod I have, made a new character and the issue persisted. So I think it''s at least somewhat safe to say it is a vanilla problem, not something to do with any mods.

btw, you don't need 2 different versions of mod manager fixes. use one, either both fixes and tweaks or just fixes.
