The visual mods are in the appearance mod suggestions section. You can recreate it using those mods. The appearance mods may be obsolete at this point though idk, I made the video many months ago
I'm sure you have 100+ hours to spend on listen to all the audio files and cross-reference the files to witch character/voice is using it and under what circumstances the audio files is used. Because the files isn't documented or named. Let us know when you're done.
This is the best mod EVER. My tav is based on my D&D OC which I created something like 6 years ago, and she has lots of things in common with Gale, so I'm using every mod I need to replace him with her (a water genasi, so imagine the amount of mods I'm using). The only things missing was her voice. I'm using style D and it's almost perfect for her. I'm so happy, thank you!
Is this working for anyone else after the newer hotfixes? I've tried all of the options but they no longer work correctly. I think it was Hotfix 22 that I played last that it all worked just fine. Gale's male voice still plays every time for all lines.
EDIT: Sorry for this comment, I figured it out. Figure I should leave it in case some other dummies like me do the same thing. I had downloaded the voice & audio restoration mod by Arbitality which caused the issue here. So if anyone has that mod installed, these voice conversions won't work :P
Cant get this mod to work. Using voice E and it is just silent. Tried also following some methods in previous posts but can't seem to get it to work. I will try with another voice and see if that works.
Hey can I have this console command for Astarion and Gale as well? Osi.RemoveTransforms("S_Player_Wyll_c774d764-4a17-48dc-b470-32ace9ce447d")---This is what you pasted in Wyll's page. Thanks!
The style C combat voice lines aren't working for me. They play Gale's default male voice. I had the previous combat voice lines style C in my mods and the voice was just silent, then updating it to this new version and the voice is default. Did I do something wrong here?
I should mention that I deleted the old file permanently in BG3MM and then installed the new version and exported the load order.
EDIT: I tried doing Style E combat lines and the same thing is happening. It's just playing the default male voice for casting spells and click interactions.
I'm sorry lads and lasses. Is there anyone who can confirm if it IS working for them? I wonder if there are specific conditions that make it work. If it was not working 100% of the time I would assume I'd have more reports of it by now
Using the most recent interaction/spells package for both Gale and Wyll: interaction/sneaking/spells work (some spells are male, as expected) did not get any combat grunt that wasn't male (note: game was started after patch 6, added voice files after having started game, I do keep all my files as loose files)
A lot of grunts are missing so thats another problem. But if your other interaction lines are working then there is a more complex problem at hand, cuz its completely not working for other people
ya same here :( (had version before that just silent now they wont stop talking like men when I select them etc...). (redownloading old combat voice I had now).
And this goes for all 3
Small edit: Just to say redownloading old files worked fine they back to mostly silent instead of men or issues :)
I have tried all three (Gale, Wyll, Astarion) with the updated files you've provided. All three have the original voice actor's voiceovers for everything. It's like the file doesn't apply and the game treats it like it doesn't exist.
I have all voiceover files in the override section of BG3MM. I even tried placing the spell/interaction files below the main files just in case. No difference.
Just out of curiosity, is it you cannot find the remaining voice lines to edit with AI? As in you cannot find the grunts or certain spell lines (like Misty Step)? Or is it something else which prevents all lines from being modulated?
Maybe it could be that the files are unmarked, and needs to be played to verify what character is making the sound, and for what. So you are sure welcome to spend many 100 hours to listen to them all, and let us all know what you find.
It works, but as far as I understand there are two simple problems. Firstly, file extensions have extra .wem (for example "467710.wem.wem"). So I unpacked one of the interaction modes and removed extra .wem from all voice files. It may seem unimportant, however really affects. Secondly, I had to change the file path.
This is the original file path of the mod: \Mods\Gustav\Localization\English\Soundbanks
And I changed to this: \Public\Shared\Assets\Sound
After that, It worked perfectly normal. Until now I tested A, C and 0. I didn't have any trouble. Even, shortly before I merged main Style C and Style C Interactions by applying the changes I mentioned. I installed them as a single pak file and it worked again.
Yep. I used BG3 Modders Multitool for unpack/repack and cmd (powershell) for rename the files. This code helps as a rename shortcut:
Dir | Rename-Item –NewName { $_.name –replace ".wem.wem",".wem" } It's quite easy. Nolester will figure it out soon in his spare time. Of course if this method is really correct :D This may not be exact solution after all.
I tried this and it's still not working for me. Going to play around with the load order because I do have a lot of other mods which might be causing an issue. I'll let you know if I get it sorted.
I believe I misused the multitool. The new pak file will not go into the override section of bg3mm and my version fails like the current pak files. Not sure what happened. I'll have to try again later. At least the old versions are effective at silencing the male voices for the most part until Nolester can fix it.
DWG22, I tried the method you posted. It does not work in my game. Idk if I am changing the file path in a wrong way but I also tried with and without changing file path, but removing the extra wem in the file names each time. No luck either way
It's strange... Honestly I went further with this method and I tried main Patch 5 voices convert to WEM Vorbis using Wwise. I just wanted to see if it would work on Patch 6 :D And it worked. Likewise it also worked for Interaction Lines.
Okay, so how about this? I know it's funny, but your Multitool is updated? As far as I know, old versions of Multitool has been wrongly packing some files. This issue had fixed on updated versions. Maybe that's why you could be having problems? And still it doesn't work, I can share with you one of interaction paks I have. See if it will work in your game?
I think I was using the latest stable version and not the new beta version. Looks like this could be a problem based off it saying wem files were incorrectly packed
Amazing!! I tried this in combination with TheDWG22's recommendations and it finally works for me! I only did it for Style C combat lines, but good to go. Thanks everyone!!
Ok I must be doing something wrong because I followed DWG22's directions and now I no longer have male Astarion's voice but I just have silence. I used BG3 Multitool to unpack the .pak file, I removed the duplicate file extension from all the files, changed the path to /Public/Shared/Assets/Sound for all the files that had been in the "Soundbanks" directory, repackaged it and then removed the old version and reinstalled this one.
Anyone with any ideas with what I did wrong? We are supposed to hear a female Astarion voice when we select her, correct?
i think somethings wrong with the export tool. i tried multiple versions and was not able to get the pak working even for the other voice mod where the voice lines worked. so i just unpacked this one and moved the loose files into the data folder and that worked. good enough for now.
So you put the files loose into a folder and it worked? Just so I can check this out could you specify exactly which folder so I don’t put in the wrong place?
I put them here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data There's a Mods and a Public folder. voice lines wems go under Public: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public\Shared\Assets\Sound
Can confirm the double "wem" fix through the terminal plus installing the file loose in the above directory works.
Now how can we help identify the "hard to tell" files (misty step, speak to animals, etc.)? Perhaps video of Astarion, Gale, and Wyll saying each to compare to the packed game files?
I can confirm @TheDWG22's fix works. Unpacked, renamed the files, moved them to the new location, then repacked. I don't know why, but when deleting the original one, it would also remove the base (using BG3MM), so I had to reinstall the base as well. Otherwise, all good on my end. The C addon's quality doesn't seem as good, even on click interactions, but at least it's not nearly as jarring as old man Gale's voice.

Spells/Combat/Interaction Lines add-on may be broken.

I am back after a hiatus. The add-ons are still broken, the fix is known but it is tedious for me. I will get to it eventually

I thought I'd deleted the old files, but there were still some, so that's why things seemed to be working for me.
thank you @TheDWG22, I will have an hour or two to work on this today

Release v1.19.4 Pre-release
NOTE: This is a beta version; for the latest stable release, see v1.18.7 below.

Edit: Nvm. I reloaded the game and it works now.
